Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 713

These adoring gazes were nothing new to her. From the moment she was born, she had always been the center of attention, the one everyone looked up to.

Abbey's eyes scanned the crowd, finally landing on Flora. A cold glint flashed in her eyes.

Back in Shallow Bay, Flora had humiliated her. Now, with Connor not around, she was determined to settle the score.

"I've only seen Abbey's pictures online. I never thought I'd see her in person, let alone be this close!" Shawn's face was filled with awe and admiration. Lone Island was a haven for medical students, and Abbey, coming from a prestigious Lone Island family and being one of the world's top medical prodigies, was his idol. How amazing it would be if he could one day join the ranks of Lone Island.

"Do you really think she's that great?" Flora suddenly turned to him, a strange emotion flickering in her eyes.

"Absolutely! This is Abbey we're talking about. Do you know what she's accomplished? She..." Shawn started enthusiastically, worried Flora might not know about Abbey’s feats. As he went on, he noticed Flora's expression changing.

He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but in a flash of inspiration, he abruptly switched gears, almost blurting out, "Abbey is amazing, but Flora, so are you. You both have your own unique brilliance, and to me, you're the most beautiful and outstanding, even more so than Abbey."

Flora: "..."

Ha.

Men.

Shawn's older cousin watched him shamelessly buttering up Flora, facepalming.

Who knew his naive little brother was this good at cheering a girl up?

Shawn watched Flora’s reaction carefully, finally relaxing when she seemed less upset.

But why was Flora upset in the first place? Surely not because of Abbey?

That didn’t seem likely. Abbey was famous, but Flora was hardly the type to care about that. She was a top-tier authority herself, constantly surrounded by impressive people, yet she always remained indifferent.
