“Nina, you…” Abbey’s face stiffened slightly.
“Stop lying!” Nina was fed up. “I heard everything you said just now. You mentioned—”
“Mr. Tanner, reconsidering the scores won’t do you any favors, and we don’t want to make a big fuss that could tarnish the reputation of the medical community.”
“If you sign this agreement and acknowledge Flora’s scores to all the teams, every year, I will send two instructors from the Lone Island Medical Base to Austenberg to teach, and if there are students who perform well, I might consider allowing them into the medical base.”
“Reevaluating the scores is not impossible, but Mr. Tanner, you need to be sure you can handle the consequences.”
Nina mimicked Abbey’s tone, repeating her words verbatim.
Her youthful voice reached everyone’s ears.
The room fell into dead silence.
As soon as Nina spoke the first sentence, Abbey’s expression changed, losing her previous composure and becoming visibly panicked and nervous.
Her words were like a slap in the face, hitting her hard.
Her face turned pale as paper, her body swayed, nearly collapsing to the ground.
She had framed Flora so recklessly because she thought Flora couldn’t touch her, surrounded by her own people inside and out. Flora, even if eloquent, couldn’t clear her name. But who would have thought that Nina had been hiding here all along!
And had remembered everything they said.
“That’s exactly what she said! The wicked woman!” Nina scoffed coldly, her eyes filled with disdain for Abbey!
Flora looked at Nina’s indignant expression and smiled. Ah… Nina was quite charming.
