"Damn?!"
The moment they saw the question, everyone was stunned.
"What kind of rotten luck did Flora have to draw such a tough question?!"
The first question was already incredibly challenging.
Even the team leaders furrowed their brows.
The difficulty was just over the top.
Even if they were the ones answering, they weren't confident they could manage it.
On stage, Flora remained calm. She didn't rush to answer; instead, she scrolled through the mouse, reviewing all the questions once.
Everyone else saw the questions on the big screen.
"Damn! I thought the first question was hard, but the following ones are even worse!"
"So many questions, I can't even make sense of them..."
"The questions are so obscure, and some are completely out of the syllabus. Even a knowledgeable professor might struggle with these!"
Mr. Tanner's brows knitted tightly.
Those questions were too tough and convoluted; many of them, he couldn't quite solve himself.
Why had the difficulty suddenly ramped up so much?
The questions drawn by previous contestants were a fraction as difficult as Flora's set.
Could it be...
Had the White family taken a loss at Flora's hands earlier and decided to retaliate by giving her such a hard set of questions?
But that was just his speculation, without any evidence.
The questions were drawn randomly; if they were too hard, it could only be attributed to Flora's bad luck.
"This is bad, how did Flora end up with such difficult questions!"
In the Austenberg team, everyone looked anxious.
Could Flora answer such difficult questions?
Even if she could, it would surely take a lot of time.
The second round was timed, and the final score was calculated based on the number of correct answers, with each question worth ten points. There were ten questions in total, and no extra points were given for the difficulty of the questions.
If she could answer one question, others could do three, making their score triple hers. How could she win then?
On stage.
Flora had reviewed all the questions and then returned to the first one.
Then, she stopped.
She didn't even pick up her pen.
