Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 975

Candace was caught off guard by the sharp tone in Amanda's voice.

"You come here before we even get a chance to deal with you?"

"Mrs. Falcone, that mess at the underground market was a misunderstanding. Please don't just take Flora's word for it, she—"

"Still making excuses?" Amanda's eyes showed clear disdain. She turned to the bodyguard, "What else did she say just now?"

The bodyguard relayed Candace's words, which were mostly insults aimed at Flora.

As Amanda listened, her expression grew darker. Ethan, standing beside her, also looked increasingly stern. Amanda felt the urge to slap Candace, but seeing her covered in blood, she was too disgusted to follow through and instead turned away.

"Call the cops," Amanda said coldly. "Tell them there's a disturbance at the Falcone house. Lock her up for a few days to cool off."

"Mrs. Falcone!"

Candace screamed, baffled by their fierce loyalty to Flora.

Feeling unlucky, Amanda didn't look back, striding inside and leaving a command in her wake, "Keep a close eye on her until the police get here. Don't let her slip away."

Kruz rushed to catch up, "Mom! That was awesome today!"

Amanda gave him a look, "Was the whole chicken blood stunt your idea?"

"Yep!"

"Protecting your sister-in-law, that's commendable," Amanda nodded approvingly. "Tonight, we'll have someone whip up your favorite Coca-Cola chicken wings."

Before Kruz could celebrate, Amanda added, "You're leaving tomorrow. It'll be your last meal here."

Kruz: "..."

Did she really have to bring that up!

...

Candace stood shivering in the chilly wind, utterly confused about why the Falcone family would so staunchly defend Flora.

Wasn't it common knowledge that mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law were always at odds?
