Chapter 146
The room stays quiet, and I just stare at him; I’m not sure what to say or think.
“I thought you realised Alexis, I wanted to date you. Not just fuck you, if all I wanted was to fuck you, I wouldn’t have spoken to you, I would have worked with Elon,” he says and looks at me waiting.
“To begin with, this was meant to be purely sex, just once. Then I saw you that day in person. I watched you argue with my receptionist, and I saw the fire in your eyes. I heard your witty comebacks and saw that you wouldn’t take any nonsense and didn’t give a damn what others thought. You hooked me in just like that,” he explains, and a warm feeling spreads through me.
“I went from seeing you as a porn star to a fierce woman, someone who isn’t afraid to do what is needed to survive, and that, Alexis, is fucking hot.” My cheeks flush at his words, and I want to hide away, but I can’t.
“You would honestly be happy dating me when I do porn?” I ask, knowing that he won’t have considered that aspect of it.
“Why wouldn’t I? I watched Alexis, you at work is nothing, there’s no connection between you and those men. It’s purely sex and business. So yes, I would still date you even if you were fucking

a new guy every day for work,” he states, and my cheeks heat up. I cover my face with my hands, and he laughs.
“And that is another reason I was sucked in. You’re not innocent, but simple things make you blush like a fucking, virgin,” he says as he grips my hands and pulls them away from my face. “And that look is so damn innocent and sweet.” Leaning forward, he kisses me. I feel uncomfortable now and fight to figure out where to look or what to say.
“Then there is that,” he whispers. “Letting me strip and fuck you, you’re in your element, me saying something nice and complimenting you in a way that isn’t about sex, and you have no idea how to react as you’ve never had it before, and I plan to do it daily.”
“Okay, stop,” I say, and he laughs.
“For today, I will do it again tomorrow, though,” he says as he leans back and releases me. “So, what is this thing with Clara?”
he asks.
“Clara began after me. She was actually a virgin when she started. I noticed they would offer her money to ignore her limits, and I hated it, so I fought to make her realise it wasn’t worth it.” I explain.
“Why was she there?” he asks. I open my mouth and close it, it’s Clara and personal so I don’t know if I should say? “Alexis, I’m only asking. I won’t do anything.” He looks at me, waiting.

“Her mother is ill. It wasn’t too bad to start, but over the years, she’s got more diseases, and it’s worsened. She’s bedridden and on so many medications that she needs careers and everything. It costs a lot. That is why I paid out Clara and gave her enough money to last until she gets a job.” Which now I know won’t fucking work.
I’m an idiot. How can she earn enough when she can’t work the normal hours?
“You’re shouting at yourself. I can tell by your face, just so you realise,” he chuckles slightly. My eyes roll.
“I was because I didn’t think it through. Clara watches her mother a lot, so her getting a job that earns enough won’t happen as she needs to be home. That’s another reason she did porn,” I explain. If she gets a full–time job, she might earn enough, but then what? She needs to hire careers for longer which means she doesn’t earn enough again.
“Does she not have any other family?” he asks, and my head shakes.
“No, if she had, it would have been easier,” I explain. I don’t want her to go back and do that work again; she’s barely lived a
normal life.
“You really care for her, don’t you?” he asks, looking at me in shock, and I nod.
Chapter 146
“We’ve got close; she is like my little sister,” I reply. So, even if it means staying working there and giving her money, I will.
“I’ll cancel my work for today. We have things to sort, and I would rather not rush,” he says and does something on his phone. I want to ask what will take all day to sort, but I don’t. Instead, I choose another question.
“What is happening with the police, Eros?” I ask.
“Nothing, Elon dropped the charges. There’s no fallback on me, so don’t worry about that,” he explains.
“Okay, then, how did Elon get the video, the contract, and your bank statement?” I ask. He looks at me and glances around, almost ashamed. I sit waiting.
“You were right about Olivia,” he says and sighs. “I need a new personal assistant, apparently.”
