Chapter 40
Everyone looked at Leonard, who said those words, in astonishment.
He asked for a one–on–one fight with Jarod, which exceeded everyone’s expectations.
But everyone soon shook their heads and sighed.
Did Leonard want to defeat Jarod? How was this possible?
Instead of expecting Leonard to defeat Jarod, they would rather pray for a thunderstorm to strike Jarod to death suddenly, whose chances were higher.
“Leonard, it’s useless. Even Jacob can’t stop Jarod’s three moves. You’re just asking for humiliation by asking for a fight,”
Waylon said in a desperate voice.
In his opinion. Leonard was unwilling to die like this at the critical moment of life and death, and he was unwilling to die like this, so he stood up to challenge Jarod.
He may want to use this to delay time and wait for an opportunity to survive.
There was nothing wrong with this idea, but Leonard forgot one thing. They were on the southern border, which was under Jared’s control. No one would come to rescue them.
So Leonard’s behavior couldn’t change anything at all.
Jarod was like Hades, already deciding their death.
Arlie and others also shook their heads.
Facing the ridicule, contempt, and disdain of the surrounding people, Leonard was very indifferent.
He turned his head and smiled at Waylon. “Mr. Lambert, believe me, hiring Jacob for 200 thousand dollars is not your wisest choice. Your wisest choice is to bring me to the southern border”
After finishing speaking. he looked straight at Jarod and asked, “Do you dare?
Arlie couldn’t stand it any longer. “Leonard, don’t make unnecessary struggles. Jarod can poke you to death with one finger.”
Lindsy looked sympathetically at Leonard as if watching an ant trying to wave its pincers before being tram pled to death. It was pitiful and ridiculous.
“Leonard, do you regret that you rejected the opportunity I gave you before? If you are willing to kneel and beg me now and be my follower in the future, I can still ask Mr. Curless to spare your life,” Lindsy said.
A talent like Leonard was a treasury in her eyes.
However, Leonard ignored her completely.
Lindsy gritted her teeth with anger.
“Hmph! This guy deserves his death.”
Many of Jarod’s men suddenly burst into laughter.
“Did I hear it right? This guy is going to ask for a one–on–one fight with Mr. Curless. Does lie want to struggle because he knows his death?”
“It’s so pitiful. A genius in jewelry appraisal should have a rich future, but he is killed before he can enjoy it.”
“He is to blame because he has no self–knowledge. He even wants to win Mr. Curless money. Isn’t he courting death?”
“Mrs. Doyen gave him another chance, but he turned it down. Does he think it’s humiliating to confess his mistake to a woman? It’s so ridiculous to guard that poor self–esteem when he’s dying.”
At this moment, Jacob covered his chest and sta ggered up from the ground with a wry smile.
“Leonard, accept your fate. I am no match for Jarod. How can you beat him?”
Jarod just looked at Leonard, who stood up indifferently. From his point of view, Leonard didn’t look like a martial artist at
all.
His footsteps were slo ppy, and his body was slack. He didn’t have the energy and spirit that a martial artist should have. Did such a person demand a one–on–one fight with him?
