“Not at all,” Natalie said with a smile, shaking her head while holding her coffee cup. “I know how to tell the difference between a guy who’s just out for fun and someone I’d actually want as my man. You’re just not worthy of being my guy”
Darren felt a surge of indignation. He thought. For fim? I’m your ex-husband! Just as he was about to correct her, he caught Natalie sneering.
“A guy who dances for women? You’ve already ruined your image, Mr. Luther. Plus, you’re just a second-hand man. It’s all fun and games for me, but there’s no way I’d bring someone like you home,” she said.
Darren gritted his teeth. “And what makes you any better as a second-hand woman, huh?” He tugged at his tie, feeling the
pressure rise.
He thought, “How could her words be so infuriating? I can say something like that too! He shot her a cold smirk, eager to see how she would respond.
To his surprise, Natalie shot back. “Seriously! I’m curious too. What exactly makes me worth chasing? Why would you go out of your way to replace Howard and ask me out?”
“Stop being so full of yourself!” Darren was furious, clenched teeth emphasizing his point. “I was only doing it for Grandpa Henry!”
Natalie raised an eyebrow, studying him. “Wow, you are quite the devoted grandson, huh, Mr. Luther?”
Darren was speechless. He thought, ‘Sure, that was the truth. But why do her words always twist everything around
Frustration burned inside him as he checked the time-it was almost ten. “Can we move on to the second part of our date? Let’s wrap this up so I can take you to see Grandpa Henry
“Sure, Natalie replied with a nod.
Darren said, “Let’s go. Get in the car. I’m taking you to the amusement park.”
Natalie replied, “You go first. I’ll be right there.
“What now?” Darren snapped impatiently. “What’s taking so long. Princess? Is it really that hard to step out?”
Ignoring him, Natalie retorted, “Men should mind their own business when it comes to women. If you want to leave, go ahead; nobody’s holding you back.”
With that, she went back inside the villa to take her medicine,
Arthur spotted her expression and chuckled, “Still going on with the date”
Natalie could already tell what he was worried about. “I know what I should do.”
Just take it easy with a low fever. If you’re not feeling well, come home early, Arthur said, holding back the advice he was about to give. “Ill handle everything online.”
“You’re the best, Arthur. Natalie flashed him a smile. Tm off now. See you tonight! If you get back early, remember to play with Kafael.
Rafael was still under six months old, without a single tooth, but he was already gumming everything in sight. Arthur’s expression softened at the mention of the child “Sure.”
Howard had originally planned a date that included a trip to the amusement park. But it wasn’t just any amusement park. It was the latest couples dating theme park, a fresh take on socializing.

Chapter 76
At this park, everyone had to wear masks, adding an air of mystery. All the rides were designed for two, perfect for couples.
Strangers mingling in this way often sparked romantic connections, making it very popular among young couples and singles. The place was always packed on weekends and holidays
Darren, however, had zero interest. He found it downright boring.
As soon as Natalie got into the car, he tossed her a mask. “Come on, how old are you? Sull, going to amusement parks? Did you really not have enough fun in your childhood?”
He paused, smirking with a hint of mockery. “Oh, right, I almost forgot. Your childhood was spent in the mountains, so you probably never saw an amusement park,”
Expecting her to retort, he was taken aback when Natalie didn’t deny it for once. “That’s true, I spent my childhood playing
in caves.”
Darren snorted, shaking his head at her rusticity. “What could you possibly play within a cave?”
“Digging for gold Natalie replied, deadpan.
Darren clicked his tongue, feeling pity for how clueless she was. He pictured a little girl with dirt all over her face, playing in a cave and bragging to anyone who would listen about her “gold-digging adventures. His mouth twitched in disbelief. He just couldn’t take it.
She was embarrassing enough as it was. He couldn’t let their kid turn out like her.
Leaning back in his seat, Darren adjusted his position, fingers tapping. For the sake of our son’s upbringing. I’ll allow you to stay in Greton. But once he’s a bit older, I’ll take charge of his education.
He thought. My son must be extraordinary. Who knows what kind of mess Natalie would make if she were in charge
Natalie looked puzzled “Mr. Luther, do you have a son?”
Darren instinctively replied, “Your son is my son, of course.”
“No, that’s my own son.” Natalie reminded him c**lly, her tone firm. “He’s not yours.” She stared at him, unwavering
Darren suddenly recalled that night when he had forced her to divorce him, and he had said something similar. His throat tightened. “He has my blood flowing through him. He is my son
Natalie rolled her eyes and put on her mask, leaving only the delicate lower half of her face visible.
Darren frowned. “Natalie, I’m talking to you.”
“Do I look like I want to talk to you?” She reclined back against the seat, sensing his gaze, then turned her back to him.
Darren clenched his fists, letting out a cold laugh, and decided to close his eyes and relax. Their son was still young. He didn’t need to worry about this thing,
Half an hour later, they arrived at the amusement park. They took off their masks as they got out of the car and waited in
line to enter.
When it was their turn, Natalie smiled at the staff, “We’re a couple.
The staff nodded, tying a pink cartoon heart bracelet on their wrists. Singles received blue ones for easy identification. In the park, these bracelets served as signals, indicating whether someone was taken or available.
The staff said, “Welcome to Mask Amusement Park! Enjoy your day!”

Natalie nodded politely. The park had a way of lifting spirits, and she couldn’t help but walk in with a spring in her step.
Darren followed her, eyeing her back. “You’re pretty excited, hul
“Huh?” His sudden comment caught her off guard.
Darren continued casually, ‘Saying we’re a couple must make you feel giddly inside, right?”
Natalie laughed. “Mr. Luther, you’re such a drama king”
Darren asked. “Am I the one being dramatic, or are you just afraid to admit it?
Natalie gave him a cool once-over. “Didn’t I suggest that psychologist to you? Did they not prescribe you any meds? If they did, you should take them. Otherwise, you’ll end up like this, easily provoked.”
Just mentioning the psychologist set Darren off. He stepped closer, towering over her. “Natalie-”
Tm going to line up for the roller coaster. You go buy me some ice cream, Natalie interrupted him.
Darren smiled wryly as she dodged the topic. “You want me to go? Why don’t you just go yourself?”
“Ugh, looks like I can’t meet Grandpa Henry today,” Natalie sighed.
Darren licked his lips, conceding, “Fine, I’ll get it for you. It’s just one date, if you want another, there might not be one.” “Really?” Natalie sounded skeptical.
A hint of understanding flickered in Darren’s narrow eyes. He thought, ‘She tensed up, clearly still hoping for a second date with me” “Yes,” he said.
Natalie let out a sigh of relief, “Thank goodness! That’s just great!
Darren felt a twinge in his chest; she was lying again. This woman could only act tough with her words. He couldn’t be bothered to call her out, stepping towards the ice cream stand. Just a few steps in, his phone buzzed. It was Tony calling.
Darren picked up, and Tony spoke urgently. “Mr. Luther, there’s been an incident with Ms. Xavier!”
Tony was referring to the scandal online about Natalie and her sugar daddy. Initially, he hadn’t planned to report it, but the situation had escalated, and he needed Darren’s direction.
Tony asked, “Mr. Luther, Ms. Xavier hasn’t responded yet. Should we do something about it?”
Darren’s blue eyes drifted to the distant figure of Natalie, a flicker of intrigue crossing his gaze.
He pursed his lips slightly. “Isn’t she capable? Let her handle it herself.
