Chapter 1047 Between His Ears

Sylas' eyes shot open, his mind on the highest alert. But feeling a familiar presence keeping an eye out around him, he slowly calmed down.

The rest of what happened felt like a blur to him, and honestly, it was a bit crazy that he had trusted himself to sign a contract in that state in the first place. But it was necessary.

He had to apply the pressure right then and there. Allowing them time to think and consider things wouldn't work. It would give them time to equivocate and make excuses. He didn't have the time for that.

Now, though, the Golden Grove was under his control for at least the next ten years.

Unfortunately, that didn't mean he would have free reign in Skai 11331 Galaxy for the same reason so many had been smited by the system's eye in the first place. But Sylas had accomplished so much with the limited resources of Earth. How much would he accomplish now?

As for how Gralith would feel about Sylas using him like this… well, honestly speaking, Sylas never considered it. While he wasn't a fan of relying on others, he also wasn't a fool. There was a reason he had stayed with the Grimblades for so long, and there was a reason why he had chosen to join Legacy and was looking forward to stepping into the Beast Warlord Sanctum.

All the other details were meaningless to him right now. If Gralith was upset by it, then he would deal with that when the time came. But regardless, there would be no backtracking on the part of the Golden Grove.

Well, they could try to use their superior Wills against him, but they would quickly find out that that would be far more difficult than they thought.

Before he did all of this, there were three things he used Andromeda to check. The first was the Golden Grove Secret Realm information, the second was the Beast Warlord Sanctum's location, and the third and final was related to Will and how it worked.

Surprisingly, there wasn't much information about Will at all. In fact, they treated Forging Will like it was some holy grail of Wills, and didn't even mention Forged Will… let alone Enlightening Will beyond that.

There might be a huge gap between the substance of their Wills because they were D and C Grades, while he was just an F Grade, but the idea of clearing away Sylas' Will with ease was impossible, especially since the contracts were signed individually with each elder present.

Obviously, Sylas wouldn't be foolish enough to pit his one Will up against all of theirs at the same time.

His Will also happened to have a very imposing and defiant character to it now after he had evolved it once again beneath the All-Seeing Eye's Wrath.
