Chapter 1057 Time of Alignment

Sylas had no intention of allowing the old man to dictate how things were going to go. There was a calmness to him right now that came from the assuredness and security in the path he was going down, and he still had too much to do, too much to handle, to even think about saving someone else right now.

He was on a time crunch.

He knew what Megean had likely done; he had personally seen the shift in the atmosphere after their last interaction. After he shut her down, she likely entered the Golden Grove Secret Realm.

That didn't sound too crazy. After all, that was a place that Lorien had entered and survived.

But there were two types of ways to enter the Golden Grove Secret Realm.

The first path was to wait until the ideal times. There was something in their lore about the moon aligning with the stars.

This time was the safest to enter, and it was the moment the Golden Grove was at its calmest. It would also be on a time limit.

In the recent history of the Golden Grove, not a single person had managed to enter and survive. They could only watch from the outside, waiting until their flames flickered out.

These so-called flames were known as Soul Kernels, formed whenever someone entered the Secret Realm, and it was the method by which people could tell if the one who entered was still alive or not.

Megean's was still there, and it would likely be there for a very long while.
