Chapter 1165: Rewards (2)
Sylas quickly digested the information he was given. But the best part about having the little girl right now was that the flexibility of the answers he received was on another level.
In the past, even after he paid for an answer, he would get a solid block of text and that would be the end of it. But now, rather than unlocking some text, he instead unlocked the little girl’s ability to talk about the item in question with a full scope.
But while this was the best part, it enlightened Sylas to something else as well. If he was sharp enough, he could even pick up other things from her answers that would enlighten him to other matters as well.
Soon, he felt like he mostly had a full scope of understanding.
The Wheel of Fortune was less of a conversion Treasure and almost more like a mini-system itself. It hung around with you, assessing your feats and deciding whether to reward you for them or not.
There were two main use cases for it, but all of them required killing.
The first was targeting those of the same Grade Tier as yourself but of a much higher talent level. These were those from higher-order Races, or maybe those that had the benefit of far stronger Unique Genes or resources.
The second was targeting those of higher Grade Tiers compared to yourself. These people could be of weaker talent, equivalent, or beyond yourself, but this path tended to reward more as well—depending.
Both methods could be used in conjunction with one another, and taking one didn’t mean having the other cut off. But it was something worth knowing regardless because it was heavily involved in how the Wheel of Fortune calculated your rewards.
And therein lay what Sylas was actually the most curious about.
What were the Grades of Foundations? How much did the Wheel of Fortune elevate it by for every attempt? How did he even build a Foundation in the first place?
The last question was answered fairly easily.
Now that he had the Wheel of Fortune, he didn’t have to worry about finding a technique or anything of the sort. The Wheel of Fortune would become his Foundation. This was how it would follow him around and assess everything he did.
According to the little girl, this was actually a very good thing. A lot of people suffered from poor Foundation-forming Skills and techniques, and it could be said that the Wheel of Fortune was the very best among the best in this method.
Its conversion rate was perfect, and it would be capable of converting 100% of what Sylas had, even including his Legendary capabilities.
What Sylas hadn’t known just yet was that if he had ended up using a mediocre Foundation-forming method, much of what he had built up—his strong Titles, his once Legendary Class, his shocking Comprehensions…
Many of them would have lost their efficacy, lost in translation. Of course, he wouldn’t lose it all, and they would still be powerful.
But now he wouldn’t lose even the slightest sliver. And that would already give him a huge leg up on other E-Grades.
The first question was even more straightforward.
Foundations were divided into F- to FFF+… normally. And then, as expected, above them were Common, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Legendary Foundations.
