Sylas roared, his arm swinging down.
From above, he looked like a knight riding a steed—if that steed was a Sacred Beast with eyes so crimson it reminded one of pools of blood and deposits of ruby.
The hive trembled as it seemed to try one last-ditch effort to save itself. But it was far too late.
The world fell into silence as the lance disappeared into the queen hornet’s body, splitting its defenses so seamlessly it almost looked as though it had done nothing at all—until eruptions of emerald lightning turned it into a pincushion.
The queen hornet was shattered from the inside out, its Will collapsing first, leaving its eyes vacant. And then its body followed, everything shattering to pieces as though it had never had a Constitution that high to begin with.
Sylas took a deep breath, and then another soon after. Then he looked down at the Hollow Wing...
This creature...
It was unruly, but it was powerful. Despite having taken in Demonic Aether, though, it didn’t seem to have any other changes to it. It looked much the same as it always did, other than the fact it was larger now, as though it had perfectly scaled up.
Somewhere deep inside, Sylas felt that this beast was hiding more than what it seemed, but he had no way to prove it, and the little girl had basically already told him everything he could afford already.
’Hollow Wing...’

[Hollow Wing (???) (Sacred Mount)]
[Level: 17]
[Attribute: Hollow]
[+100% ALL Stats]
[Limit: XXX]
[Talents]
>[Hollow Burst]
>[Hollow Call]
>[Hollow Claw]
>LOCKED
...

Sylas still couldn’t read its Limit, but what he knew for certain was that at Level 17, it was already capable of easily adding +100% to his stats. Which meant that there was actually potential the Hollow Wing had that Sylas was already missing out on because his own stats were actually too low.
This was ridiculous.
Sylas was a Level 50—a D-Grade Human Simioid. He had improved so many times, in so many ways.
But on top of that, just then, he had activated his Scorpion Warlord Armor as well, and the Hollow Wing was still able to take it with ease.
Just what was its Limit, and how much was he missing out on already?
And then there were these three new "Talents," they were called.
Sylas had never heard of something referred to in this way. He had heard of Mounts having Skills, or them even having Gene Talents, but what was... just a Talent?
He could afford the answer to this question; he was just unwilling to pay it... especially since now that they were unlocked, he could use his Vipermancy Profession to understand.
And when he did, he was floored.
A Talent shared a moniker with Gene Talent for a reason.
They were innate Gene Talents that didn’t need to be trained and came without the stamina hit. Though they had their own cooldowns, using them would never almost kill the Hollow Wing like Sylas’ new Elevated Gene Talent.
And each one was broken.
Hollow Burst spoke for itself. To ignore space and time, crossing a set distance in a flash with nothing more than the intention to do so... just what sort of concept was that?
How could anyone even react to such a thing?
But this was just the most basic mode of using it. If it was used as an evasion or defensive tactic, who could even touch them when they were in the skies?
It was just that it seemed Hollow Wing could only use this three times in a day. If it used it any more, although its stamina wouldn’t be depleted, its wings would be on the verge of being torn from its body.
And then there was still Hollow Call and Hollow Claw.
[Hollow Call (Talent)]
[Level: 17]
[Instant Death to those with Unformed Will.]
Then he wondered if this Hollow Call would work against Demons as well... it said Will, not Demonic Will, but... the Hollow Wing was using Demonic Aether to progress, so could the difference be so large?
[Hollow Claw (Talent)]
[Level: 17]
[Deal direct damage to target ignoring armor and various defenses]
