[Mesmeryx Lineage Blessing (—) (Lineal Inheritance)] —
A Lineal Inheritance, according to the Madness Key, was an Inheritance that could only be accepted by those with the proper "Lineal Heritage". This felt vague to Sylas, and he didn't know the specifics. But his Insight Path Talent wouldn't lie to him. He knew that this was incredibly important for Nosphaleen and this would be what decided whether he could take her in as a contract or not. Like this, he wouldn't have to worry about finding Corrupt Genes to replace the function of the cancer Gene he had been relying on until now. But his Insight Path Talent was also telling him that it likely wouldn't be so easy. Lineal Inheritances had far stricter requirements than Inheritance Crystals, and if one put that into perspective, it would be easy to understand the kind of trouble this would bring. In order to gain access to his Scorpion Warlord Inheritance Crystal, Sylas had to grasp Sparking Will. And even that wasn't enough to perfectly gain its acceptance. Without his exceptionally high Ruin Mastery, he wouldn't even be able to climb the stairs of his Inheritance Crystal. Lineal Inheritances had an easier first bar to clear… sort of. How rare was a Mesmeryx Bloodline? It was a creature with a Gold Grade Lineage. The number of people who could have it were all too rare. But technically speaking, so long as you had the Lineage, it was quite easy for you to gain initial acceptance of the Lineal Inheritance. Unfortunately, it would be far more troublesome after the fact. And it would only scale with difficulty the rarer the Lineage in question. What Sylas knew for certain was that he was going to have to help Nosphaleen prepare much more than she was now before he allowed her to make an attempt. 'The Lineal Inheritance will only trigger if she's not yet Level 10, so it's good that she isn't. I'll need to do more for her, though. The Frost Bane Armor she has needs to be Leveled up more, and I also need to try to find replacements for her disk blades. We'll also need to increase the Mastery she has over her Skills…'
Sylas was willing to make a great investment this time because he knew that Nosphaleen would definitely not turn down this Inheritance. And the moment she became a true Mesmeryx, she wouldn't be able to resist his Beast Totem. By then, a single glance from him would easily force her into a contract. So he simply wasn't worried about betrayal. Plus… this Lineal Inheritance couldn't be used by him anyway. Well, it could… if he was able to extract the Essence of Nosphaleen's Lineage. But he wouldn't do this. Why would he pigeonhole himself into this path when he would be able to access it all anyway so long as Nosphaleen was one of his Beast Contracts? 'Hm?'
Sylas grabbed at the air and a token landed in his hand. It was beautiful, more like a work of art or the emblem of a royal. It was so perfectly circular that it almost hurt to look at. 'Why do I feel like that…?' freēwēbηovel.c૦m
There was no denying that such a description was odd. Why would how circular something was make it difficult to look at? However, Sylas was distracted by the etchings on its surface a moment later. Roaring dragons, flying phoenixes, mythical oceanic beasts rising from the ocean and subterranean legends piercing out from the ground… The circular token was so small, and yet it seemed to encompass so many things at once. —
