Genetic Ascension novel Chapter 953

’I guess this is why they were more interested in spreading their message… it’s a subtle mental imprint that makes enemies turn to allies over the course of a long period of time. Luckily, it’s only an F-Grade Rune, but maybe that’s all they thought was necessary for "us"…’

That said, there was something else interesting they learned.

Sylas had allowed Nosphaleen to control the questions and didn’t guide her much. So it wasn’t much of a surprise that the first things she had asked about were related to the capture of her bloodline and what they were being used for.

She seemed ignorant to much of these matters.

The plot to use her as a bridge seemed like the only answer they needed to make things make sense, but the secondary reasons left Nosphaleen infuriated… and for good reason.

At least for the Stormveil bloodline, the value of the Clypsians went far beyond just their use as a bridge to Earth, but in their elemental prowess as well. The Stormveils believed that the Clypsians were their road to the D-Grade.

It was odd to say considering the Clypsians, as powerful as they were to the people of Earth, were still an F-Grade Race, while the Sylphs were already of the E-Grade.

But it went to show how much potential the early Races of Earth had.

If not for the fact Aurion hadn’t been able to unlock any of his Classes, Genes, or Skills before he faced off against Sylas for the first time, defeating him wouldn’t have been nearly so easy even for the current Sylas.

The gap between F-Grade and E-Grade Races wasn’t something that could be bridged by just stat points alone. It was also questionable if Sylas’ stats were even better than Aurion’s to begin with. That he wasn’t sure about, though he had good reason to believe that they were.

That said… Sylas never felt a threat from Aurion. At best, he felt that the Sylph was stronger than what he displayed.

The true threats he would face this time were the two that shared the top three with him.

The others, he would crush just as swiftly… not because he was so arrogant, but because if he couldn’t at least do this, then his chances of succeeding would be next to zero.

Lorien watched as Sylas suddenly jumped up by 173,110 Silver Genes, her eyes narrowing.

There was a wistful pink mist to her hair, making her look far more ethereal than real. Right now, with her true face showing, instead of that of the woman who seemed to always do her very best to seduce Ulrik, there was an almost heavy air to her.

It was an air that commanded respect and obedience. One that made a person feel as though they should walk on tenterhooks around her.

’He took down a city,’ she concluded. ’That Sylph’s name disappeared, it must be his…’

[1. Lorien Myst - 275,000]

[2. Sylas Grimblade - 218,470]

[3. Ulrik Vecunish - 118,025]

The methods she knew to gain that many Silver Genes in one go were few and far between. None of them could be executed in such a short time.
