Claire is desperate. She turns her head displeased and says plainly, “she’s just an ordinary friend of mine. You certainly don’t know her.”
“Really?” Leo obviously doesn’t believe Claire. He sees Claire suddenly in a bad mood. He seems to see through her. He says quietly, “but if I don’t know your friend, why did her son go to my company? Why didn’t he go to someone else?”
“...”
Leo is right. Claire can’t make up a good excuse for the moment. She thinks for a moment and says coldly, “maybe her son is ill.”
Conan, who is playing computer in Luke’s villa, suddenly sneezes. He rubs his arm and looks for the air conditioner remote. He thinks the temperature is too low.
Leo takes a meaningful look at Claire and doesn’t go on asking. Just then the ship lands. He takes Claire and goes out.
Claire is pulled by Leo and stares at his back. She secretly determines that she will find a chance to expose Leo. She wants to know how long he wants to hide her son!
In fact, Claire is most worried about whether Leo takes good care of Conan and whether he treats him as his own son. After all, he didn’t know Conan before. Will he be nice to him?
Isn’t Leo curious about Conan’s biological mother? He doesn’t look for her.
Claire and Leo return to the hotel. Before they part, Leo can’t help kissing Claire on the forehead.
Claire goes back to the room and quickly goes to the bathroom to rub her forehead. She thinks he is too amorous. He was with Fiona the other day. Now he does this to her!
Leo wasn’t like this before he lost his memory. At least at that time, he was single-minded about the little wild cat.
But she is the little wild cat!
Claire looks at herself in the mirror and suddenly slaps her face hard. She tells herself to stop thinking about that bastard! She’ll be completely influenced by Leo!
But it doesn’t work.
The next day Leo knocks on her door and wants to take her out. Claire’s revolt doesn’t work and Leo pulls her out of the room.
They spend two days in City B. During this period, they go rafting, boating, going to the aquarium and watching movies. It seems that in these two days they do a lot of things that lovers do.
In these two days, Claire constantly hints in her heart not to indulge! They are not lovers! They are just passers-by who meet by chance! They will be separated later!
Fortunately, Claire has enough willpower. She keeps hypnotizing herself in her heart so she isn’t seduced by Leo.
…
In City A.
Claire looks at the familiar city after getting off the plane. She shouts in her heart, I am finally liberated!

The readers' comments on the novel: Genius Son Sells his Mom to Dad
The storyline could have been better -- organization and cohesion of episodes could stand improvement, ending could have been more definitive resolving the many conflicts between the protagonists. Of course, the despicable treatment of Leo towards Claire initially, e.g., selling her off in an auction and giving her to the madam of the club as princess is inhuman and a violation to the wife's rights and honor. I was wondering why she did not leave after these maltreatments. Oh, well, the conclusion [if the narrative ends in Chapter 488] is quite disappointing and anti-climactic. Thank you just the same....
The end of the story is wanting, considering how the episodes build up to conflict after conflict and concluding in yet another conflict. But then c'est la vie! Thank you....
