However, Claire can still hear someone talking behind her back when she goes to work the next day. They even start pointing at her and talking loudly to make her hear.
This is worse than yesterday. Claire is even more upset when she comes to her desk and finds it in a mess. All the papers she set up before work yesterday fell on the desk or on the ground.
Claire’s bad mood lasts from yesterday to today. When she sees the scene, she almost cries.
It’s all Leo’s fault. Claire makes up her mind to discuss it with Leo when he comes. If he doesn’t clarify, she will. She will not bear any consequences.
At least before she leaves, she has to return her innocence. She is not sure what she will do then.
Claire makes up her mind. She pretends to be calm and tidies up the things on the table. Then she turns on the computer and sits in the seat waiting for Leo. However, she waits all morning and Leo doesn’t come to the company.
Claire thinks he doesn’t come back. She goes into the office and finds him not in it.
Claire is in a worse mood. She sits in her seat and is not in the mood to work at all. Fortunately, no one comes up to trouble her today, so that Claire’s bad mood is not close to the state of collapse.
However, Claire is disappointed that Leo doesn’t come to the company.
Claire is in a terrible mood. Leo still doesn’t come to the company this afternoon. A little hope in her heart is extinguished.
Claire gets up and packs up and leaves the company. She ignores people who point at her and talk about her when they see her. Claire walks out of Howard Group with her head up and chest up.
As soon as Claire gets out of the company, a black elongated Lincoln comes to the company’s door, and a window falls down in the back seat. Claire sees a familiar face.
“Get in the car.”
Juan says plainly to Claire.
Claire stands and thinks. At last she gets in the car door that the driver has opened for her.
Looking at Juan sitting next to her, Claire says awkwardly, “Juan, long time no see.”
Juan looks at her calmly for a long time. He suddenly smiles. “Claire, you’re determined to stay with Leo. In the end you’re like this.”
Claire is embarrassed to hear the taunt in Juan’s words. Juan may have known her embarrassment in the company, otherwise he will not appear at the door of the company on this special day.
He may have been waiting for her here for a long time.

The readers' comments on the novel: Genius Son Sells his Mom to Dad
The storyline could have been better -- organization and cohesion of episodes could stand improvement, ending could have been more definitive resolving the many conflicts between the protagonists. Of course, the despicable treatment of Leo towards Claire initially, e.g., selling her off in an auction and giving her to the madam of the club as princess is inhuman and a violation to the wife's rights and honor. I was wondering why she did not leave after these maltreatments. Oh, well, the conclusion [if the narrative ends in Chapter 488] is quite disappointing and anti-climactic. Thank you just the same....
The end of the story is wanting, considering how the episodes build up to conflict after conflict and concluding in yet another conflict. But then c'est la vie! Thank you....
