Chapter 841
’Godmother?"
When Sam saw her standing still and saying nothing, he shook her arm. "What do we do next?"
’Hmm?"
Olivia snapped back to herself and looked blankly at him. It took a while for it to dawn on her before she said, "Oh, can you help me get him on the bed? I'll hold his head while you lift his legs."
’Yeah, no problem."
Olivia casually threw a towel over John and put her hands under his arms to lift him out of the bathtub. Sam ran into the bathtub and lifted his legs.
Therefore, the adult and child lifted John to the bedside with some difficulty.
Olivia was weak to begin with, and the lack of food made her weaker.
’Sam, I'll count one to three, and well throw him onto the bed."
’Okay, Godmother."
Olivia took a deep breath and shouted with the last of her strength. "1... 2... 3..."
When she called out the last digit, they threw John onto the bed with all their might. They tossed him so rudely that the man, who had fallen asleep, could not help but murmur in pain.
However, Olivia did not care if he was in pain. She just thought she was already nice for still caring about him.
"Sam, fetch the first aid kit from the table and ask Mrs. Simmons to make soup. I'm a little hungry."
Sam answered in acknowledgment and ran away.
Olivia pulled the covers over John, sighed, and sat down on the edge of the bed.
'What have I done wrong? Why can't I be more ruthless?
'I let this man live because I was soft-hearted four years ago.'
"Godmother?"
She clutched her chest and bit her lip as she listened to her strong frantic heartbeat.
Sam looked at the man in bed and opened his mouth. However, he said nothing in the end and obediently went to bed.
Just as Olivia was leaving, she heard the man talking in his sleep.
"Liv, don't go! Don't go, okay?"
"I didn't lie to you. I can tell you everything. Trust me for once, okay?"
"Liv, do you wanna know what I forgot six years ago?"
When hearing that, Olivia froze and looked back at him in shock, but the man closed his eyes, and his pale lips only moved without saying a thing.
She walked slowly to the bed, sat down again, bit her lip, and asked, "What have you forgotten?"
"I forgot... Liv, don't leave me..."
John seemed befuddled by his fever and started talking incoherently in his sleep, which made Olivia nervous.
Just when she tried to pursue it, the sound of the door opening rang suddenly. Olivia thought it was Ken. She got up and looked over. "Ken, I'll hand him over... Zac?"
