The blue Bentley Continental GT, with its unique and stunning color, immediately caught Allison's eye. She really liked this car.
A man in a suit stepped out with a respectful nod and handed the keys to Allison. "Ms. Allison, this car is a gift from Mr. Fisher."
Allison took the keys, and her heart stirred a bit. Joshua was indeed generous; this ride cost over half a million dollars.
"Thank you," Allison said to the man.
"You're welcome. If there's nothing else, I'll be on my way now." The man gave a slight bow, maintaining his respectful demeanor.
"Alright."
As soon as he left, Allison's phone buzzed. It was Joshua.
"How do you like the car?" His tone was casual as if he were asking about her lunch.
To him, a half-million-dollar car seemed as ordinary as a head of lettuce at the farmer's market.
In their social circle, gifting such a lavish present to a fiancée was no big deal. Maybe she’d just been living a bit too modestly these past three years and was out of touch with her original circle, making this surprise feel all the more surreal.
Allison replied, "I love it. Thank you, Joshua."
"I'm glad to hear that. I remembered you liked blue," Joshua said, his voice deep and smooth, with a hint of charm.
Allison was a bit taken aback. "How did you know?"
As far as she remembered, she hadn’t mentioned her favorite color to Joshua.
