Shawn loved wrapping his arms around Kate from behind and inhaling her scent. Their silhouettes were nearly identical, and their fragrance was indistinguishable, which made Shawn deliriously happy.

And so, he deceived himself, sinking deeper into this illusion. But a stand-in was just that—a stand-in, never able to truly fill the void Allison had left in his heart. Kate could never truly become Allison.
