"Alright, just leave it there," Allison sighed, a trace of resignation in her voice. She didn’t want to give the delivery guy a hard time.
"Got it!" John replied with a wide grin. "You go on with your work, I'll head back now."
Allison nodded, "Okay."
After John left, she looked at the two stunning pieces of jewelry and let out a helpless sigh.

In the United States...
Before he became President, Sawyer had been in cahoots with Chris, both benefitting from each other. Chris's vast network was the backbone of Sawyer's election success.
Sawyer’s term was coming to an end, and according to U.S. law, presidential candidates must be members of Congress. They are nominated by the Speaker, approved by both houses, and then officially appointed by the President.
Joshua, given his position, couldn’t directly get involved in the U.S. presidential election. But he could definitely work his magic from behind the scenes.
Before Sawyer’s win, his biggest competition was Martha. She had the pedigree and the prowess, almost clinching the presidency in the last election. But then, out of nowhere, Sawyer surged ahead, surpassing Martha in both public opinion and votes.
Once elected, Sawyer quickly passed a law legalizing cannabis, which was a jackpot for Chris, the head of the biggest gang in the country. That’s when Martha realized Sawyer had already cut a deal with Chris.
Chris had poured a ton of money into Sawyer’s campaign. Once Sawyer was in power, Chris expanded his influence even more. This emboldened Chris to openly challenge the Fisher family in the UK and attempt several hits on Joshua there.
