"Your uncle might try to cause you trouble a few more times.
"But you must remember the harm they've done to you, and you mustn't go easy on them." Blake advised Yasmin.
Yasmin nodded, her face growing even redder. "I understand."
"What's making you blush?" Blake leaned in close, his lips almost touching hers and charging the air between them even more.
Yasmin felt flustered and didn't dare to meet Blake's eyes. So, she looked at his lips instead and said, "Nothing, just... let go of me, I need to help you get dressed."
"Do you like me?" Blake suddenly smiled, as if he could see right through her.
Yasmin felt like he'd hit the nail on the head.
Her pupils were quivering as she said, "Of course not."
"But your face says otherwise." Blake's lips curled up. "Now that you know I'm the one who's been good to you, are you feeling something?"
He pulled her even closer.
Yasmin felt uneasy and turned her head away. "Stop hugging me. Let go."
"You haven't properly thanked me yet," Blake said as he looked at her plump lips.
"Didn't I just say 'thank you'?"
"I want this kind of 'thank you'."
With that, Blake kissed her, and Yasmin's breathing halted.
This kiss was different from their previous one.
Before, Yasmin was reluctant. But this time, she felt moved, and her emotions were in turmoil.
She'd already liked Blake. And now that she'd been moved by him, her feelings opened like a floodgate, impossible to hold back...
...
When Yasmin got to her studio, she was still trying to process everything as she stared blankly at the pile of drawings on her desk.
Eunice waved her hand in front of Yasmin's face. "Yaz? What are you daydreaming about?"
