Jasper glanced at Victor and said with a smile, "Now is the season to eat crayfish. Eden and I have always liked it. Mr. Alwynn, you can leave first if you don't like it and the smell makes you uncomfortable."

What a joke. Victor would not leave if Jasper were still here. He was worried that Eden would develop feelings for Jasper if he left them alone.
