Chapter 121 It Also Makes You Very Cute
When Reid drove to the place that Chaim had mentioned, he saw Chaim standing by the car with his head lowered and
smoking.
Reid figured that Chaim was getting impatient, so he quickly parked the car on the side, opened the door, and walked over. “Mr. Humphrey, I have contacted the tow truck company. They should be here soon.”
Hearing Reid’s words, Chaim looked up at Reid and put out the cigarette in his hand. “Give me the car keys.”
Reid didn’t dare to say anything else. He quickly handed Chaim the car keys in his pocket.
Chaim got in the car with a cold face. In just a few seconds, the car that had just been parked vanished.
Reid stood by the road and looked at the back of his car, feeling that Chaim was a bit strange tonight, though he couldn’t tell.
why.
He thought, I have been staying by Chaim’s side for years. I’m not saying that I know him completely. However, I know him
pretty well. I can tell his emotions at once even if he does nothing but raise his eyebrows.
But tonight is different. Clearly, he is angry. However, there is more to it. He is overwhelmed by certain emotions that I can’t
tell.
Forget it. He is my boss, and I shouldn’t be guessing his mind.
Facing a red light ahead, the car slowly stopped.
Samara was in a good mood. She tilted her head and looked at Roland beside her, feeling that Roland might be someone she could afford to offend tonight.
“Will it make you think I’m petty?”
It was just a trivial matter, but she always remembered it, even until now.
“Yes.”
Roland tilted his head and looked at her with a faint smile, looking charming.
Samara moved her eyebrows. Just as she was about to say something, Roland said, “But it also makes you very cute.”
“Cute?”
He suddenly called out to her. Unlike the usual days, his deep and mellow male voice sounded less teasing. Instead, it was filled with seriousness, making Samara unable to respond to him with a simple smile.
“Are those girlfriends of mine troubling you a lot?”
She would only be troubled if she had feelings for him. Possessiveness was a kind of emotion that would only show up with affection. In other words, she would only want to have him all to herself if she had feelings for him.
