Chapter 131 The Investigation
Eric was shocked at Chaim’s words, and a blast of anger hit him again. He glared at Chaim and asked, “What do you mean by
this?”
Chaim raised his head to meet Eric’s gaze and said indifferently, “I told Samara that I used her. She was irritated and wanted to take revenge on me. It makes sense.”
Unlike him, who looked calm, Eric found it unbelievable.
He looked at Chaim, whom he was most proud of, in disbelief. “What did you say?”
Chaim raised his hand and rubbed his temples. He did not sleep well last night and was woken up early in the morning. He had a headache and said weakly, “You didn’t miss any words. The blame is on me.”
He paused for a moment. “Do you remember what you said before? You would allow me to marry Camille when she woke up. It is time for you to fulfill your promise.”
All of a sudden, there came a huge bang.
Eric was so angry that he directly threw a cup on the desk at Chaim and shouted, “Get lost! How dare you! Do you make me angry on purpose?”
Chaim stared at Eric, who looked extremely furious, and said with a blank face, “Grandpa, take it easy. What if your blood pressure rises? I need to go back to work I’ll get someone to deal with the news online.”
As soon as he finished his words, Eric became even angrier and began to tremble all over.
“Jeff, take good care of him,” Chaim asked Eric’s secretary to come in and ordered him.
After that, Chaim turned around and left the study.
Just as Chaim walked out of the study, he heard Eric destroy many things inside.
He looked at the tightly closed door of the study and went downstairs with a sullen face.
Gloria had breakfast absently in the dining room downstairs. She looked over when Chaim came down.
Unexpectedly, she met Chaim’s cold gaze. Gloria froze and wanted to lower her head, but it was too late.
“You were asked to apologize to Samara, weren’t you? Samara hasn’t forgiven you. You’d better continue to do it until she forgives you. Otherwise, I’ll cancel your card for now,”
Gloria opened her eyes wide, angry and anxious. She said, “Are you crazy? Samara is going against our family now. Why do you ask me to apologize to her? Do you want me to be scolded by her?”
She watched Chaim leave and took a while to recover her senses. “Mom, what’s wrong with Chaim? Hasn’t he been beaten by
Samara? Why does he take Samara’s side?”
“He wants to cancel my card for Samara.”
“You did bully Samara. It’s natural that you need to apologize to her. If you do so, Samara will probably stop making difficulties for the Humphrey family.”
