Chapter 226 Roland Is the Loser
This was a grand banquet. It took nearly two hours just for guests to enter the banquet hall.
By eight o’clock in the evening, almost all the guests had arrived. Samara and Gisselle returned backstage.
Fletcher and Dayton also came, but Samara had no time to entertain them today. She only sald hello to them upon their arrival.
As soon as Samara and Gisselle returned backstage, they saw Fletcher talking to Kadin..
Samara raised her eyebrows and walked over. Kadin and Fletcher ended their conversation upon seeing Samara, and they looked at her. Kadin asked, “Are you tired?”
Kadin was not willing to hold such a banquet because he wanted to keep a low profile. In addition, Samara was the only daughter of the Novak family. It was a tiring thing for Samara. Kadin was reluctant to make his precious daughter tired, so he would rather not do it.
Seeing Fletcher look over, Samara smiled and nodded to him. Then she looked at Kadin and shook her head. “I’m fine, Dad.”
Kadin knew that Samara did not tell the truth, but he just snorted in disbelief and did not ask further.
On the stage, a popular singer was singing. Soon after, she finished the song. Following that, it was time for Kadin to give a speech on stage and then cut the cake.
The three of the Novak family walked on stage. Kadin started with thanks to the guests and then formally introduced Samara to everyone, “This is my daughter, Samara Novak.”
It was just a simple sentence, but from the way Kadin looked at Samara after he finished speaking, anyone in the audience, who was a bit tactful, could tell that Kadin loved his daughter very much and that he was also very proud of having such a
daughter.
Samara received guests for more than an hour at the entrance with Gisselle. Most of the guests could guess that Samara was Kadin’s daughter to be publicly announced tonight.
Kadin had always protected Samara very well. From the time Samara grew up until now, other than her self–expose previously, no one had ever found out who Kadin’s daughter was.
Samara calmly took the microphone, stood there with a smile on her lips, and said warmly, “Hello everyone, I am Samara. I am very grateful to everyone for your coming today…”
Samara wore a long dress today and a pair of 4.5–inch–high heels. There was a faint smile on her face as she spoke. She was confident and calm. When she stood on the stage, her temperament attracted everyone.
