Chapter 87 Only One Novak Family in Houston
Samara left Humphrey’s home with her parents. She had just arrived at the hotel when she saw a few familiar faces.
Amy had a good relationship with Gloria. Gloria had spread the news of Samara being kept as a mistress. Now, everyone in Chicago knew that Samara was being kept.
Samara had married into the Humphrey family for three years. Every time Amy returned to the Humphrey family, she would, together with Gloria, be sarcastic toward Samara. Sometimes they even did wrong things in the name of Samara so that others would blame Samara for the wrongdoing.
By now, Amy still thought that she and Gloria could bully Samara as in the past.
Not long ago, both Amy and Gloria lost faces at the Clayton family’s anniversary celebration because of Samara, and Amy had always wanted to find an opportunity to retaliate.
Meeting Samara today seemed to be a good chance for Amy.
However, before Amy could speak, Alex Arcand, Amy’s father, spoke first, “Mr. Novak, long time no see.”
Kadin was still a little angry when he came out of the Humphrey family. Now that he met Alex, he tried to hold back his anger. Kadin looked at Alex and nodded. “Mr. Arcand, long time no see.”
Alex had been in the business world for many years. At a glance, he saw Samara, who was holding onto Mrs. Novak. Everyone knew that the Novak family had a daughter, but not many people knew the name of Kadin’s daughter and what she looked like.
Alex knew Samara and also knew that she was the ex–wife of the second son of the Humphrey family.
Samara’s surname was Novak, the same as that of Kadin. Now Samara was holding Mrs. Novak’s arm. Looking closely, Samara’s appearance was very similar to Kadin’s. Alex was shocked, but he did not show it. “Mr. Novak, is this your daughter?”
When Samara was young, Kadin had no choice but to keep a low profile. He was afraid that someone would hurt Samara, but he did not expect that it was not good to keep a low profile. Samara’s suffering in the Humphrey family
made Kadin realize it.
Kadin wanted to announce to the world that Samara was his daughter now. Now that Alex asked, he replied at once, no longer like before, “Samara, say hello to Mr. Arcand.”
Amy thought, wasn’t Samara born as a commoner?
Why was my father so polite to Mr. Novak?
Amy had guessed in her heart, but she did not believe it. Now that she heard Alex’s words, her face turned slightly pale. “How is this possible? How could Samara’s family be the richest one in Houston?”
