Debra hesitated, her fingers hovering over the screen. She thought about the dream she’d had and typed her reply.
Debra: [No need, I’ll come to your company now.]
Setting her phone down, she pushed her plate away and said, “I’m full. I need to step out for a bit.”
Erica looked up. “Do you want me to come with you?”
Debra shook her head. “I’m good. Just a small matter.”
She retreated to her room to change into simple, comfortable clothes. In the living room, Randy turned to Marion, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
“Here’s a good chance for you to show your worth. Since you’ve got nothing else to do, why not be the chauffeur and drive her?
“She doesn’t want me to go,” Marion replied, glancing at Debra’s phone on the table.
