Isabella slapped her again. “You’re still claiming ignorance? You were once a mere mortal yourself. How could you not know? Or have you started viewing them as insignificant beings, and hence, simply don’t care?”

The goddess shook her head in rebuttal. “No… I am a goddess, a goddess who loves all mankind. I-”

“All right, so you decided to play dumb, is that it? When the celestial lord killed so many people just to lure you out before, why didn’t you show up?”
