Sylvie nodded obediently at Carlos‘ words.

Given how some of the male students looked at him when he taught them earlier, Carlos might be underestimating his own appeal. If he truly wants to avoid teacher–student romances, he should probably make himself less attractive. 

Christopher and Rosalie stifled their laughter. 

“Carlos, if Penelope doesn’t give up, what will you do? Aren’t you still her teacher?” Rosalie asked. 

“If she remains stubborn, I really can’t continue being her teacher,” Carlos said, looking down at the stage, “Maybe today will be an opportunity. If her performance impresses someone, another teacher might want to take her on. Then I can step back.” 

“Considering her personality, if you stop being her teacher and hand her over to someone else, won’t she cause a scene?” Isabella asked. “You should handle it carefully.” 

From her experience, Isabella knew that someone with Penelope’s temperament could easily become unhinged, and Carlos‘ gentle nature was ill–suited to dealing with such a person.
