William and Jennie arrived last, greeted warmly by all as they made their entrance. After brief exchanges and mutual acknowledgements, everyone dispersed back to their respective stations to continue with their styling preparations. 

The director and producer pulled William and Jennie aside for a discussion.

Meanwhile, the undercurrent of quiet gossip persisted among the others about the seemingly close relationship between the two stars. Every so often, onlookers would catch the pair sharing knowing smiles, fueling beliefs that perhaps something more was blossoming.

It seemed as though some staff members, possibly nostalgic for their days of enthusiastically shipping celebrity couples, couldn’t help but smile at the sight of William and Jennie together.

The atmosphere shifted when suddenly the door to the nearby changing room burst open. Christopher’s group had previously been the only ones absent when greetings were exchanged with William and Jennie; notably, Isabella had not yet made her appearance.

Isabella emerged, clad in a stunning deep blue mermaid dress that immediately captured everyone’s attention. Her makeup was still incomplete, yet her statuesque figure, accentuated by the dress’s design, highlighted her model–like features–pale skin, sharp shoulders, and a slender waist, all contributing to a breathtaking presence.

She was a natural scene–stealer, prompting silent acknowledgments around the room that even without refined acting skills, her screen presence alone was mesmerizing.

However, not everyone shared this sentiment.

Christopher looked anxious, William’s brow was furrowed, and Jennie seemed taken aback.

Before Jennie could gather her thoughts, William, standing nearby, raised a concerned eyebrow and addressed Isabella. “Wasn’t this outfit prepared for Jennie? Miss, have you perhaps put on someone else’s clothes by mistake?” The implication hung in the air, heavy and uncomfortable.

Everyone’s costumes had been delivered to the dressing room earlier, sorted by assistants, sparking confusion about how such a mix–up could happen. William had recognized the dress- it was supposed to be for Jennie’s photoshoot. It couldn’t have ended up on someone else, unless it was done on purpose.

William’s expression hardened. He believed firmly that no one, not even someone with ties to influential entities like Quirk Group, had the right to mistreat others, especially not those he felt duty–bound to protect. Jennie’s past difficulties, often lamented in his presence, had left him. particularly sensitive to any perceived threats against her.

As William’s accusation floated across the room, confusion swept through the staff, and even his manager looked puzzled.

This unexpected confrontation between the veteran actor and the rookie was not something.

This broke Jennie from her stupor, her surprise deepening as she realized the rookie was none other than Isabella, who she had encountered that fateful day. Jennie’s face reflected her inner turmoil, a mix of confusion and embarrassment bubbling up as memories of their previous encounter resurfaced.

Suddenly, Isabella, looking equally astonished, pointed at Jennie and exclaimed, “It’s you! You’re Jennie!”
