Hard To Say Goodbye novel Chapter 8

Nora told Grace, "I don't have much work to do in the company tomorrow, so Murphy gave me a day off. I'll have a rest and go with you to find a job."

Grace said gaily: "Really?"

Nora smiled: "Of course. When did I lie to you?"

The next day, at daybreak, Nora wakes up Grace: "Get up, little lazy pig. Let's go to find a job!"

It was not easy to find a job in such a big Beijing City, especially for girls from other cities. They were rejected everywhere and always looked down upon by others.

Grace has found two jobs, but she didn't like them at all. There was another one, which was said to be inferior to Grace in the company. So Nora tried her best to persuade the company to hire Grace and promise Grace would work hard and turn to senior staff members for advice with sincerity.

Regarding the sincere attitude of Nora, Grace won the job. But she had to go to the human resources department for a simple interview. After entering the Department, Grace came out in a short while and said to Nora, "I messed up my own work..."

Alas! God is not as good as man. Forget it!

Grace said angrily, "There is no place for me to stay here."

Arm in arm with Grace, Nora walked slowly. She hasn't been so free for a long time.

She asked, "Grace, what do you want to eat, it's my treat today."

Grace laughed and said, "You're welcome! I'm going to eat up the food."

Nora said, "Just eat whatever you like. Don't worry about getting fat. If you can't get married, you can eat as much as you want. Anyway, I won't persuade you."

Grace said, "I'm not afraid, because I don't want to get married. I want to be a free new social woman." Talking and laughing, they went to a western restaurant in front of them.

Grace knew deeply that Murphy was the pain of Nora's life, so she never talked about anything about Murphy in front of Nora. However, Grace had her own doubts in her heart, which has tortured her for half a month since she sent little Hugh to the hospital.

If it went on like this, she would feel depressed to death.

Today, the weather was unusually good, and the air was filled with happiness. Grace decided to tell Nora the truth today. No matter what the result was, she wanted to know to untie the knots in her heart.

Nora hummed a tune and walked to the bathroom, mixed with the sound of water. The tune she hummed was partly hidden and partly visible, but it was really intoxicating. It seemed that she was in a very good mood. Grace wanted to break the secret in her heart by beating the fire.

"Come here, Nora," said Grace, pretending to flirt with her.
