After a brief pause, Mandy took a deep breath. “Miss Xavier, I understand the conditions you mentioned, but please trust me. We Zimmers definitely didn’t do any of those things on purpose. This shopping centre project is incredibly important for us.”

Momentary silence followed. Yvonne broke into a sudden smile. “If anyone else came and requested this, I’d definitely have security throw that person out by now.”

“But before I came, the CEO specially told me that he likes ‘The Rocky Mountains, Lander's Peak’ painting very much. Because of that, he agreed to do you another favor. We hope that the Zimmers will learn their lesson and not create any more problems for this project again.

“If another similar incident occurs again in the future, I’m afraid that the CEO will not entertain your requests anymore.”

‘Is that it? Surprisingly, the CEO’s actually giving us a favor.’

Previously, Harvey only mentioned that casually. Although Mandy trusted him, she was not that confident herself. It never occurred to her that York Enterprise would actually let go of this incident simply because of the ‘The Rocky Mountains, Lander's Peak’ painting.

“Miss Xavier, you’re not pulling my leg, are you?” Mandy asked.

“Of course not. This is the CEO’s orders. I dare not speak any nonsense. Afterwards, I’ll have someone retract that legal letter. You can be at ease now and deal with the shopping centre project, Mrs Zimmer.” Yvonne flashed Mandy a faint smile. “Our company is eager to see the day the shopping centre is established.”

Mandy found herself growing dizzy. The whole situation didn’t feel real. This was a major issue that required a compensation of four hundred and fifty million dollars, yet everything was resolved just like that? How could it be this simple?

“Miss Xavier, is ‘The Rocky Mountains, Lander's Peak’ painting that amazing? Is it worth such a big favor?” Mandy asked weakly.

“Of course…” Yvonne smiled again. “It’s a legendary painting renowned among our kind. The CEO said that being able to protect a national treasure from being lost to foreign countries is indeed a stroke of luck. Compared to that, this amount of money is trivial.”

Mandy then discussed a few details with Yvonne, including the next payment date. When that was done, Mandy left York Enterprise. Even as she got into her car, she still felt that everything was unreal.

When Mandy opened the door and entered her home, Harvey was mopping the floor. Noticing her, Harvey looked up and said, “How did it go? Is everything solved?”

“Yes, it’s all solved now.” Mandy leaned against the door and looked at Harvey suspiciously. “Harvey, tell me. How do you know York Enterprise would do us this favour? Is it just because of that ‘The Rocky Mountains, Lander's Peak’ painting?”

“I made a guess.” Harvey smiled. “York Enterprise is a powerful and dominant company. If they really wanted to find fault with the Zimmers, they would’ve taken direct action. Why else would they issue a legal letter?”

“They probably did it as a warning. So, I guessed that they won’t make it difficult for you! How about it? Did I make the right guess? Do I get any kind of reward?”

Harvey appeared smug. He even looked Mandy up and down deliberately. That kind of look was indeed something.

Mandy’s beautiful face flushed slightly at his aggressive stare. She glared at Harvey sternly and sneered, “Luckily, you made the right guess. We’d be ruined if anything happened!”

“Didn’t I guess correctly?” Harvey continued. “How about my reward?”
