Harvey York's Rise to Power novel Chapter 54

“He turns out to be a live-in son-in-law. He’s such a disgrace for men!”

“Hey, this handsome guy is saying that this live-in son-in-law lured his classmates to buy expensive wine at their reunion dinner. However, he did not succeed in scamming his classmates. He even bragged that he has let someone waive the bill for them.”

“How come there is such a person? He’s a shame for men!”

“Such worthless trash! Why isn’t he fatally struck by a car?!”

The people were gossiping about the story, and Harvey was instantly angry.

‘I am in such a good mood today. I just came out to buy milk tea for my wife. How did I meet such a fool? Why didn’t I know that Howard was an idiot?’

The woman next to him was even more arrogant now.

Just when Howard was about to continue, Harvey had already carefully put the milk tea on the ground. He then said coldly, “Howard, I’m warning you since you were my classmate, don’t take this any further!”

“Why? What can you do to me? Can’t I say about the things that you have done?” Although Howard saw Harvey’s angry face, he still spoke indifferently. He was sure that Harvey was all talk.

Slap!

Harvey slapped him in the face unexpectedly as soon as Howard finished his words.

Howard was stunned. He regained his senses after a while. He then shouted. “Harvey, do you know who I am? Don’t think that I don’t know your wife’s family is asking for investment from our company recently! I’m telling you. You can forget about the investment! Unless you get down and lick my boots, otherwise, no one will help you!”

Harvey looked at him coldly and said, “So what if I hit you? Believe it or not, if you talk nonsense again, I will smash your Audi today.”

The corner of Howard’s eyes twitched. He was really afraid that Harvey would do this. He bought this Audi on installment, and he still needed to pay off more than thirty thousand dollars. He would be so distressed if Harvey smashed it.

The onlookers were stunned. They did not expect this live-in son-in-law to be so ruthless and was such a character.

“Oh gosh! He must have suffered a lot back home, and there is nowhere for him to vent it out!”

“But this handsome guy is also at fault. Why did he care about this kind of person? If he smashes the car, it’ll be problematic.”
