Healing my disabled husband novel Chapter 761

Chapter 761 Can You Admit It?

For a moment, River paused while holding onto the steering wheel of the car.
He found his sister's words confusing but he knew he wasn't opposed to them either.
However, he decided not to engage in further conversation with Beata about this topic anymore, since she had been acting crazy these past few days already.
He didn't want her getting any wilder ideas, if he were to reveal his thoughts on the matter now.
After waiting for some time without receiving an answer from her brother, Beata hesitated before deciding not to say anything else either.
She knew very well what kind of temper her brother had and didn't want him getting angry with her over something trivial like this.
As long as River didn't interfere with their friendship or prevent them from hanging out together, everything will be fine.

Casey slept all day until afternoon when Kelvin came into the room and sat down beside the bed. He reached out and patted Casey's head, saying, "Grandpa wants us home for dinner tonight. Get up and get ready. We'll leave soon."
Still groggy from sleep, Casey asked curiously, "Did Grandpa mention anything important?"
She felt lazy today and wasn't sure if she wanted to go back home yet.
Kelvin replied, "Nope."
Casey pouted and obediently got up from the bed, but wrapped her arms around Kelvin's neck and said, "Can you carry me to wash my face?"
"Sure." Kelvin smirked and lifted Casey up.
He walked towards the bathroom and placed Casey beside the basin.
Casey swung her legs as Kelvin used a towel to wipe her face clean. She felt much better now.
Suddenly, she remembered something that happened at Averi's house and asked curiously, "Kelvin, do you think Averi is dating River?"
"Why do you say that?" Kelvin replied with helplessness in his voice.
"You have to trust a woman's intuition. I just feel like there's something weird between them," Casey explained.
Kelvin put the towel back down and said, "From what I can see, it seems like you don't want them together."
Casey continued swinging her legs as she spoke. "River seems like a dangerous guy. Even though I've never met him before, I've heard some not-so-good things about him."
She believed that being with someone like River would be very risky for Averi whom she liked very much.
However, after expressing herself out loud, Casey immediately denied her own thoughts by saying, "But this is just my own opinion. Maybe they are actually perfect for each other."
Kelvin chuckled at Casey's words, then picked her up while saying, "You worry too much! Averi isn't impulsive. If she decides to be with him, then it must be because she has thought it through."
Casey smiled mischievously when hearing this statement, then wrapped an arm around Kelvin's neck while teasingly saying, "You really understand women well."
Kelvin rolled his eyes playfully before tapping Casey's forehead lightly while asking, "Are you trying to stir things up?"
Casey giggled before responding by wrapping both of her arms around his neck again while saying, "No way! How could someone as well-behaved as me cause trouble?"
Although there was indeed a small part of herself that had such thoughts earlier on, could she admit it?
Impossible!
