Healing my disabled husband novel Chapter 767

Chapter 767 I Didn't Mean That.

In Knight family.
Beata spent three days at home before bouncing back to Averi's side.
Today, Averi was not at home but had gone to Indesit Jewelry.
Beata followed the address Averi gave her and was shocked when she arrived at Indesit Jewelry.
"Averi, you work here?" Beata exclaimed as she entered a VIP lounge with Averi.
"Surprised? Do I not look like someone who would work here?" replied Averi.
Beata nodded in agreement and said, "I've been here many times before but have never seen you."
"Maybe we just didn't know each other then," said Averi.
"That's impossible," protested Beata.
"You're so beautiful. I would have recognized you if we'd met before."
But since she had no recollection of meeting her previously, it could only mean that they hadn't crossed paths yet.
"You're sweet-talking," joked Averi. "But it's true. I wasn't out front much before."
Averi rarely greeted customers since each one had a dedicated salesperson assigned to them at Indesit Jewelry.
Beata smiled and said supportively, "Well now that I know you're here, let me help boost your sales!"
With that statement made confidently by Beata herself, she was flipping through a catalog of jewelry pieces on display in the store, even though she knew full well how expensive they were.
In fact, she rarely had the opportunity to buy jewelry by herself. It was inconvenient to wear jewelry when she went to school.
Besides, she would always go to her brother for such a large amount of consumption.
She was not willing to use the money she earned.
Still, in support of Averi's sales, Beata was prepared to spend her own money.
However, none of Indesit Jewelry's jewelry was cheap.
Averi handed her a bottle of juice and sat beside her, saying, "Which one do you like? Let me give it to you as a gift."
Beata immediately protested, "No way! You work so hard for your money!"
In service industries such as this one where hard-earned money was often earned through tips or commissions rather than fixed salaries – even in high-end jewelry stores – people didn't usually spend their own money on gifts for others unless they were close friends or family members who were willing to share their wealth generously.
Averi said with helplessness, "Beata, I think you might have misunderstood me."
"What misunderstanding?" Beata asked.
She didn't think she had any misunderstandings. On the contrary, she thought her thoughts were correct.
Averi said, "I'm actually quite wealthy and money is the last thing I lack. I don't live off of the salary here. You don't need to save money for me, really."
Beata was speechless.
If someone else heard this kind of talk, they would likely think Averi was showing off her wealth.
But Beata felt that there was no problem with Averi saying this to her at all.
However, she became curious about why Averi was so rich and how she earned her money.
Thinking like this, Beata asked her about it.
Averi smiled mysteriously and said, "Well... I can't tell you now. I'll tell you later."
Beata pouted a little and felt a bit emotional inside.
But it didn't matter that Averi wasn't telling her now, because knowing that Averi would tell her in the future made Beata very happy.
This also meant that their relationship would become even closer in the future if Averi could reveal everything to her like this...
Just thinking about it got Beata excited already!
She looked at Averi with a smile and said, "Averi, so does that mean I can assume you consider me one of your own?"
Averi's heart warmed up instantly as she understood what Beata was thinking
She couldn't help but feel amused by how enthusiastic this girl was about their relationship?
Averi replied,"Of course we are close."
They were naturally compatible as sisters or best friends
Beata understood what Averi meant but suddenly became anxious when realizing what it meant for rejecting her brother?
Her big eyes rolled around as she began brainstorming solutions in head
Although Averi noticed what was going on, she chose not to interfere because young girls tended to have peculiar ideas sometimes.
She knew eventually these thoughts will fade away once she realized it was impossible anyway.
Averi wasn't worried at all.
However, she completely underestimated Beata's enthusiasm for this matter. She was really serious about wanting Averi to be with her brother, so when she heard what Averi said, there was no way Beata would give up. On the contrary, it only made her more determined.
Beata took out her phone and sent a flurry of photos to her brother, telling him to come and pay for them because her phone had died and she couldn't transfer money even if he sent it to her.
After sending the message, Beata turned off her phone.
She wanted to make sure that everything looked real so she didn't give him any chance to call or text back.
However, after doing all this, Beata suddenly realized that something wasn't quite right.
She had made a mistake - actually he could transfer money directly.
She could have asked him to transfer some money first before coming over with cash later on.
Just thinking about it made Beata feel ecstatic but unfortunately for her, her cunning brother was too smart for any tricks like that.
Beata felt frustrated because it had been a long time since she received pocket money from him.
Averi sat across from Beata and saw how quickly the expression on her face changed.
She asked curiously, "What's wrong? Can't decide which one you like?"
Beata snapped out of it immediately and shook her head saying, "No no! They're all pretty! I like them all."
Averi laughed in relief as she thought maybe Beata wouldn't want anything expensive or might not want her spending too much on gifts for her or others either, but now hearing that they were all liked by Beata put those worries at ease.
However, when hearing this response from Averi, Beata froze up. It took a while before finally responding. "No, Averi! That's not what I meant!"
