Healing my disabled husband novel Chapter 918

Chapter 918 I can't Get Up

Ben chuckled when he heard Tilly's hopeless words and said, "What's the rush? We're all in the same boat. Everyone came here with their families for vacation, not to go on an adventure. It's normal for everyone to stay in their rooms."
It wasn't just him and Tilly; everyone else was doing the same thing, so there was nothing to be embarrassed about.
Tilly sniffled and said, "Well, it's already happened."
She couldn't just disappear into thin air now.
Ben replied, "That's how you should think about it."
After finishing a bowl of porridge, Tilly regained some strength.
She looked at Ben and said, "Ben, I'm still hungry."
"What do you want to eat?" Ben asked.
He only brought one bowl of porridge because Tilly hadn't eaten anything in a long time. Eating something too filling right away would be bad for her stomach.
Tilly said, "I want a big bone."
She felt like a little puppy with an insatiable appetite who wanted something substantial to eat.
"Okay," Ben agreed. "Let me help you freshen up first before we go eat. Is that alright?"
Tilly nodded her head; otherwise she wouldn't have been able to leave the room anyway.
After tidying up their appearance, they went outside of the room together hand-in-hand. Then they noticed that it was already past noon but surprisingly there wasn't anyone outside yet.
Tilly thought maybe everyone had gone out on a boat ride or something but after asking Ben, she learned that everyone else was still inside their rooms.
This made her curious if they were all really here just trying to make babies or what? But then again if that were true, where were Eden and Minnie?
Minnie had already been pregnant for over eight months now, so surely Eden wouldn't have left her alone like this?
Seeing Tilly's confusion written all over her face, Ben explained, "They went back earlier because Eden is worried."
Minnie was almost nine months pregnant now, so Eden was understandably anxious about anything going wrong during delivery.
If Minnie hadn't insisted on coming along this time around, then he probably wouldn't have come either.
Despite telling herself not to think too much about it or put any pressure on Ben regarding having children together these past few days, she couldn't help but wonder if all their efforts would pay off soon enough.
However, she didn't want him feeling burdened by any expectations from her side either, so she tried hard not show any signs of excitement even though deep down inside she felt envious towards Minnie's situation as well as hopeful for herself too.
But since promising herself not dwell on such thoughts anymore once decided earlier today -she'd stick with that decision- no matter what happened next between them two.
Ben didn't give Tilly a big bone to eat directly, but made her a bowl of tube bone noodles.
Tilly looked at the bowl and couldn't see much meat on the bones, feeling speechless. "Is this how you treat me? So stingy," she said.
Ben replied, "Let's wait for a couple of days; otherwise, your stomach might not feel well."
Tilly pouted and said, "I could have waited without being hungry for so long."
Ben felt genuinely sorry and touched Tilly's head. He apologized by saying, "It's my fault baby. I'm sorry." But Tilly slurped up some noodles and responded by saying that she wasn't forced to do anything.
Ben laughed it off and said that they were in sync with each other. He knew how passionate Tilly would respond to him.
He loved his baby girl so much that he couldn't imagine life without her. After finishing their meal together, Ben held hands with Tilly as they walked along the beach.
Suddenly bursting into laughter while walking hand in hand with Ben, Tilly exclaimed, "Don't we look like an old married couple now?"
Chuckling softly, Ben rubbed his forehead against hers affectionately before replying, "Even when we are old married couple, you will always be my little girl."
Tilly's heart melted at these words which were both soft yet sweetly romantic. She hooked her arm around Ben's neck, telling him, "And you will always be my boy."
As they gazed lovingly into each other's eyes, the air was filled with an unspoken passion between them.
Ben admitted, "I never thought I'd grow old alongside someone else before."
Curious, Tilly asked, "And now?"
"Now, I want to grow old together with you until our hair turns grey." replied Ben tenderly
Tilly was moved beyond words, and then suddenly broke out laughing again. "What if one of us goes bald first?"she joked, making light of their conversation about growing older together
After all, hair loss was becoming more common among people of all ages nowadays!
Although both of them belonged to the type with thick hair, who can say for sure about this kind of thing?
It never occurred to Ben that Tilly would change the topic like this.
He looked at Tilly with helplessness and amusement, and raised his hand to pinch the ball on top of her head.
As far as the current feel was concerned, Tilly was unlikely to be bald.
Ben said, "My hair quality should be okay, and my family doesn't have any middle-aged balding genes, and I'm not very good at doing things that damage my hair, so this problem shouldn't exist."
Listening to Ben's serious words, Tilly laughed so hard that she couldn't straighten up.
She squeezed Ben's hand and said, "Then the two of us must be able to grow old with grey hair, right?"
Ben nodded seriously and said, "Of course."
The more serious he was, the more Tilly laughed.
After laughing, Tilly squatted directly on the ground, clutching her stomach, her cheeks hurt from laughing, and her stomach hurt from laughing too. Then, she knelt directly on the ground, unable to squat properly.
Ben was speechless.
He really cared about the matter of getting old together.
Finally, Tilly laughed enough, held out her hand to Ben, and said, "Pull me up. I can't get up."
