They both started to get up and dress. 

Not long after, the doorbell rang again. 

Agnes went to answer the door, and there stood Beatrice. 

Agnes asked, “What brings you here this early?”

Jared then acted like he just noticed her, his voice instantly cold, “Got it. We’ll be right over.” 

Beatrice forced a smile, “I’ll be going then. Hurry up.” 

She left, clenching her fists. 

She had initially come to witness their meltdown.
