Chapter 370
The makeup room was pin-drop silent, you could hear a needle drop.
Everyone was busy with their own thing.
But all eyes were on Mamie and Beatrice
Mamie’s arrogance was legendary, so her words didn’t surprise anyone.
Beatrice was pissed off, but she knew better than to confront Mamie.
Mamie was the leading lady of the show
She was the director’s favorite, and with her boyfriend Ivan’s strong connections, no one dared to cross her.
Especially considering the show was tailor-made for her by Farrell, the CEO of Universal International Entertainment.
Universal International Entertainment was the main investor and producer of the show
If she got mad, not just the extras, even the lead actor might be replaced.
Though Beatrice had a minor role, she had overcome many hurdles to secure it.
Reluctantly, Beatrice started to pack her stuff.
Just as she finished packing up a pile of cosmetics.
Mamie said. “Go get me a coffee, I want a double mocha”
Beatrice gritted her teeth.
Mamie raised an eyebrow: “Don’t you want to?*
“No, I’m thrilled to get coffee for you, Mamie”
Beatrice felt uneasy, yet she maintained a smile.
She pondered if Mamie was intentionally making things hard for her or just being thoughtless.
Mamie had a habit of sending crew members on errands, and everyone raced to do her bidding, hoping to gain her favor. Yet, Mamie truly didn’t care. Beatrice had always viewed those who ran these errands as naive and fawning.
She never imagined she’d be in their shoes.
Just as Beatrice was set to depart, Mamie chimed in, “Anyone else fancy a drink? My treat! The makeup room buzzed with surprise.
Since when was Mamie so generous? Was it an attempt to seem more relatable?
But since she was paying, they couldn’t refuse.
‘Til have a cappuccino.”
Til take a Blue Mountain coffee”
T’d like an Insh coffee, thanks.”
There were over ten people in the makeup room, everyone requested a coffee.
Beatrice was grinding her teeth. What the hell?
Was she being treated as a servant?
But seeing Mamie’s frosty demeanor.
Beatrice had no choice but to go get the coffee.
The coffee shop wasn’t far
But it was in an awkward location.
500 meters away was too inconvenient for a taxi, subway or bus.
Beatrice had to walk there.
A total of 12 cups of coffee
The waiter put the coffee in a box.
Beatrice asked, “Could you have someone deliver it to my office?”
