Chapter 441
Agnes sauntered over.
The woman on the other side noticed her.
She pulled off her headphones, shutting her laptop.
Then, extending a hand in a very business–like fashion, she shook hands with Agnes, “I’m Valeria Thomas.”
Agnes reciprocated the handshake, “Agnes, nice to meet you.”
Valeria’s smile was professional yet appeared very friendly, “I’ve heard a lot about you, Ms. Pritchard, please have a seat.” Agnes sat down.
Valeria started, “It might be a bit sudden and presumptuous for me to call you today, Ms. Pritchard. I hope you don’t mind.” “No problem, Ms. Thomas. We can get right to the point where you want to talk to me about something.”
Valeria smiled slightly, “Don’t rush, I mainly want to make friends with you today, Ms. Pritchard. We can talk over dinner.”
With that, she called the waiter over.
Agnes looked around, the place was dead quiet.
Their table was the only one in the entire hall.
Agnes was curious, “Ms. Thomas, you are really generous. The number of people who can book the entire Cloud View–in this city wouldn’t exceed ten.”
Valeria took a sip of water, “You’re too kind, Ms. Pritchard. You’re a public figure with a lot of influence in the entertainment industry. just don’t want anyone to disturb you.”
The meal was obviously prepped in advance, it was served quickly.
Agnes was surprised, all her favorite dishes were on the table.
The ones she used to order frequently when she visited Cloud View.
Agnes was taken aback.
Valeria explained leisurely, “To show my respect to you, I asked about your preferences in advance.”
“Who did you ask?” Agnes asked instinctively.
When Agnes was at Cloud View, she often came with Jared.
Naturally, Jared knew her preferences well and usually ordered in advance.
“Ms. Pritchard may not know, Cloud View records the menu for all its VIPs. Since you come here often, it wasn’t hard to find out.”
For some reason, Agnes felt relieved.
!
But there was also a vague sense of loss and melancholy.
Anyway, she had already decided to divorce Jared.
Why did she still care so much?
Agnes laughed, “Ms. Thomas, you’re really thoughtful.”
Valeria began, “Back to the point, the reason I contacted you, Ms. Pritchard, is about Laura. I wonder if you have heard any news about your stepmother.”
Without hiding anything, Agnes calmly said, “I once saw her playing golf with your father at the club.”
Agnes stopped at that.
