Jared was heading towards Agnes' car.
Watching Jared approaching, the only thought running through Agnes' head was to run, she had to run.
Almost instinctively, Agnes stepped on the accelerator.
She had to get out of there.
But Jared on the other side was quickening his pace, running towards her. Almost the next second, his hands were on the hood of Agnes' car.
She didn't manage to get away after all.
So close, it seemed like everything had turned full circle.
Jared lifted his head, coldly saying, "Agnes, get out!"
Actually, Agnes couldn't hear what Jared was saying at all.
The surroundings were filled with the sound of car horns.
But Agnes just knew that these were the words Jared was saying.
Ever since she left the Caesar International Hospital, Agnes' heart had been racing, as if it could jump out of her chest at any moment.
But at this very moment, Agnes suddenly found her heart seemed to be gripped by someone, unable to beat.
Her blood seemed to have stopped flowing, and Agnes' body was extremely rigid.
They were in a standoff.
Whether it was three minutes or three hours, Agnes couldn't feel the passage of time.
But in the end, Agnes still opened the car door and got out.
The cold wind blew on her face, instantly sobering her up.
Agnes walked up to Jared, "Mr. Whitfield, shouldn't you be at your engagement party? Is your fiancée going to be okay with you running out like this?"
But he never thought about it in that direction.
Maybe he was just refusing to think about that lost child.
That was the deepest scar in his heart, every time it was opened, it would hurt him, and it took a long time to heal.
Since Agnes appeared, Jared had been feeling all messed up.
He couldn't think clearly and analyze things.
Agnes' determination made him never doubt her words, that she didn't have the baby back then.
However, how could there be such a coincidence in this world. When he was in Manhattan, Jared felt something was off when he met Summer.
Every time he looked at Summer, his heart would soften, sometimes he even felt like crying.
When he get the call from Summer, saying he had left, Jared actually felt a sense of emptiness...
