Agnes gazed at the little guy peacefully sleeping on the bed.
She was also spoiled her son just like Jared.
The next day, Jared made his way to the office early. Lately, he found it hard to focus on work, and his unattended tasks were piling up high.
Actually, Jared’s morning was disrupted by a call from Leo, so he couldn't help but snap at Leo. He had been suffering from insomnia for years, and it was a rare occasion for him to have a sound sleep. He had originally planned to start his day with a leisurely workout, but Leo had thrown his plan off course.
While Jared was talking to Leo, Agnes heard their conversation clearly. She knew that Jared had been neglecting his work for a while because of her. But after all, he was in charge of a business empire, and he had responsibilities that he couldn't shrug off.
Agnes urged him, "You should go to the office."
Jared buried his face in the pillow and mumbled, "I don't want to go to work."
Agnes couldn't help but chuckle. He looked just like a schoolboy playing truant.
She comforted him, "What would you rather do if you're not going to work?"
"I want to stay with you," Jared's face peered out from the pillow, answering honestly.
Agnes suggested, "I'll prepare lunch later and bring it to your office. We can have lunch together."
This seemed to lift Jared's spirits as a smile spread across his face. He leaned in, "Give me a kiss."
Agnes frowned, "You're acting like a child." But in the end, she still bestowed a quick peck on his lips.
Satisfied, Jared began to get dressed for work, but he took his sweet time. He couldn't manage to button his shirt and asked Agnes for help, sneakily trying to get a little more physical contact.
He also asked her to help him choose a coat.
Fortunately, it had been four years, so except for a few who worked closely with Jared, people here hardly remembered her face.
Agnes went straight in.
The same four girls were at the front desk, and they looked slightly terrified when they saw Agnes. They quickly formed a straight line and greeted her in unison, "Good day, Ms. Pritchard."
Agnes was taken aback. Many people were coming and going in the lobby, and they were surprised by this scene. They began to speculate the identity of this woman holding a child.
Could she be someone significant to receive such respect from the renowned beauties of the Tim Group?
Interestingly, these receptionists didn't know Agnes' identity either. All they knew was that according to Leo, this Ms. Pritchard held all privileges at the Tim Group, and she was even allowed to use the CEO's VIP exclusive elevator.
The CEO was a man with obsessive cleanliness, who didn't like to share his personal items, so someone with such privileges couldn't possibly be an ordinary person.
