Yolanda really hated Agnes. If she didn't come back early today and overheard such a scene, she would still be the fool being played by Agnes.
After Agnes and Jared left, Yolanda strode into the office, and took a seat at Agnes' desk, powering on the computer.
The glow of the screen illuminated Yolanda's grimacing face.
She whispered, “Agnes, the news was released in your name. Any fallout is yours to handle.”
The next day, Agnes was rudely awakened by a call from the TV station.
The head of the TV station himself had called Agnes. Upon picking up, she was met with a barrage of criticism, accusing her of lacking journalistic integrity.
Agnes was practically dumbfounded. When she asked what had happened. the head, still furious, said Agnes knew perfectly well what she had done and demanded she come to the station immediately before hanging up.
After the call, Agnes' mind was buzzing. She had a gut feeling something had gone wrong, but she had no clue what had happened.
Her first instinct was to grab her phone and check the station's official news website.
But, to her surprise, the site was down, completely inaccessible.
Typically, there were only two reasons for a site to crash: technical issues or a massive influx of traffic.
But there hadn't been any major news stories that could've caused such a surge in traffic in years.
Agnes was about to put her phone away and head to the station to figure things out when her phone buzzed with a news alert.
The headline read, "News Reporter Exposes Actress's Dark Past: She Was Abused by Many."
Upon seeing the news, Agnes felt like she'd been hit in the chest with a hammer.
How could such a news story have surfaced?
