Everything happened so fast, all Ashley felt was a rush of cold air against her body as Jake threw the first blow causing Jay to stumble back. The diner went silent as Ashley stood there in shock. She looked at Jake, who stood there breathing heavily with his fists clenched at the side of him. She turned her head towards Jay, who didn't expect a thing as he gently touched his bruised bottom lip. Ashley immediately stood between the two men just in case anything happened.
"You son of a bitch," Jay exclaimed as he rushed towards Jake with Ashley in the middle as her eyes widened. Jake acted fast, moving Ashley out of the way just in time to receive a forceful blow from Jay.
Jake launched himself at Jay as they both stumbled to the floor with Jake on top of him. "JAKE! STOP IT! GET OFF OF HIM!" Ashley yelled from afar as the two men wrestle on the floor, "GET OFF, YOU F**KING ASSHOLE," he yelled trying to block Jake merciless punching. "JAKE! THAT'S ENOUGH!" Ashley yelled until Jake was pulled off of Jay, who laid there breathing heavily. His arms were laid beside his body and his eyes were shut.
Ashley held her mouth as she watched Jay's state, his face was bloody and swollen. She had tears in her eyes as she never witnessed anything like this and she wasn't a person of violence. Ashley turned to face Jake, who was held back by two guys. His breath was heavy and his eyes were glued to Jay. This wasn't Jake, this was a completely different person and this person scared Ashley to death.
Jake realized his surroundings as he slowly calmed down. He turned to face Ashley, who stared back at him in horror. His face immediately softens, "Ash, I-
Ashley held up her hand before storming out of the diner. The sound of her name being called slowly drowned out as she walked further and further from the diner. It was cold, dark, and she was scared. Soon drops of rain were felt as she shivered. The further she walked, the more the rain poured down on her until she was soaked.
She hugged her body as she walked. The sound of a car was heard, but she kept on walking until the sound of someone calling her name caught her attention. "ASHLEY, STOP, GET IN THE CAR!" Jake yelled as Ashley continued to walk, but at a quicker pace. "STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM ME," She yelled as her heart sped up as she heard footsteps rushing towards her until she yelped as a firm grip found her arm, quickly spinning her around to lock eyes with Jake's fierce ones. Her heart stopped in fear, she was trembly like a leaf and it wasn't only from the cold, rainy weather.
Jake breathe heavily as hot air came out of his mouth, "Get in the car, Ashley," he demanded very slow and clear as his grip loosens on her arm causing her to yank it away, "I'm not going anyway with you," she whispered as Jake's jaw clenched, "GET IN THE F**KING CAR, ASHLEY, WHAT THE F**K IS YOUR PROBLEM?" He yelled, startling her as she backed away, "You are my problem, what you did back there to Jay, was wrong and you know that," she said as Jake laughed bitterly, "Yeah, well if protecting you is wrong then guess what, Ashley?" He asked invading her personal space as her breath got caught in her throat, "Then I never want to be right, now get in the car," he whispered in her ear as his hot breath and sudden deep voice sent chills down her spine.
