Emily finally came down the stairs the next morning with a blush on her face. His legs were weak. As soon as she got downstairs, she hurriedly sat on the sofa, afraid that someone would notice her difference.
However, Lisa smiled and leaned over to her, saying "You didn't sleep well last night! Look at your black eyes. You're going to wear a wedding dress in two days. Don't lose your face then."
"Go away, you're no better than me. When Jason came, you keep smiling and your mouth couldn't close." Emily rolled her eyes.
Lisa curled her lips, but admitted generously, "I'm glad and I am willing to do that. I just like to see him. I'm not denying it."
"Well, well. Hurry up and get me something to eat. I'm starving." Emily said quickly.
She had dinner upstairs yesterday and missed breakfast this morning. If it weren't for the fact that the children were too young to understand that, she would have been so ashamed that she didn't dare to go downstairs.
Lisa also knew that she was hungry. She hurriedly asked the maid to prepare breakfast and then called Emily to eat.
But she asked nervously, "Can I help you over?"
"No, I'm fine." Emily glared at her and walked towards the dining room, enduring the pain in her back and waist.
Lisa pursed her lips and smiled. Looking at her walking posture, she said jokingly, "Mr. Brent is really amazing. It's rare for a man like Mr. Brent to be good at all aspects! You must cherish him. Don't miss him, or you will regret it."
"He's so good. Why don't you go after him? You can take the advantage of being in a favored position." Emily retorted.
Lisa curled her lips and said, "I've already said that no matter how good Mr. Brent is, he's not my type. You don't have to tease me. By the way, have you asked clearly about that female star? Don't just hang out with your Mr. Brent and forget to ask about important matters."
Lisa didn't know when she slowly tilted to Emily's side. Back then, she swore to Emily that she was good to her and helped her because she was Franklin's woman.
She, Lisa, was always Franklin's assistant, always on Franklin's side. People were biased. She would never be unbiased. No matter how good Emily was to her, she would always choose Franklin over Emily.
But now it was different. She clearly cared more about Emily. Otherwise, she could have kept her mouth shut and pretended that this had never happened, which was in Franklin's greatest interest.
Emily was stuffing something into her mouth when she heard this. She sighed and said faintly, "Yes, I asked him. It's all my fault. Although I don't know how he knew Amy, I dare not to ask more."
She then told Lisa what Franklin had told her, and frowned gloomily.
Lisa was also surprised. It took a long time before she said, "Then you really have no right to question him. If this thing doesn't end soon, you will be in the wrong in the future."
"That's right. I'm looking forward to it now. I can't wait to start the wedding." Emily nodded vigorously in agreement.
Lisa said, "Actually, it's only two days. There's only one more day left after today. Just bear with it."
Emily nodded and took a few more bites. After eating, she was finally not so hungry, and her brain began to work.
