"Hmm, and I thought you was visiting me to actually see me, not for business purposes." Benjamin said, his comment intended light-heartedly.
"You know how it is." Blaine said.
"I know how you are." Benjamin replied with a meaning behind his words.
It was silent for a while after that, and Benjamin soon changed the conversation.
It soon began getting dark and before I knew it, Blaine was carrying my sleeping body up the stairs to bed after I had fell asleep on the sofa while Blaine and Benjamin caught up with one another.
I was so happy to see Blaine smile and laugh and I knew it was because he was in Benjamin's presence, whether he wanted to admit it or not, he had love for his grandfather.
I was proud that Blaine had opened up to me about his mother and told me stories that I know he keeps close to his heart and hidden in his chest.
"Blaine," I mumbled as he placed me down softly on the bed while I kept my eyes closed.
"Hmm?" He mumbled back at me.
"I love you." I said as I yawned tiredly.
"I love you." He repeated before placing a kiss on my forehead as I found myself falling into a deep slumber.
I realised then, that being mad at Blaine and wanting to hate him every time he does something that I don't agree with, isn't going to change him.
He does everything for a reason, whether I think it's valid or not, he does it for the better of his pack and for the family that he has.
And although he can be brutal and ruthless, he's my mate and eventually within time, his father who made him who he is, will disappear and my true mate will resurface and he'll be the Alpha he was always supposed to be.
It's been a few days since we arrived at Benjamin's territory and I've found myself sitting in the gardens with a few of the younger women in the pack, discussing general pack life and our own personal lives.
I caught Blaine walking out the patio doors with Benjamin in the corner of my eye. I turned to watch as they walked out of the doors and stood next to the pack warriors that were guarding the pack house.
