Her Brutal Alpha novel Chapter 7

Carefully opening the door, I peeked my head out making sure to look both ways down the hall way. Checking to see whether a pack wolf or guard was there, after seeing no one I made my way down the hall, keeping my back against the wall the whole time, I slowly made my way down the stairs.

I stopped instantly when I heard voices. I closed my eyes and focused on the sound, being a werewolf had its upsides especially having strengthened senses such as hearing, sight, smell and the ability to shift into a massive wolf.

"Blaine, did you sort out that file for me honey? And taste this, what do you think of it? Do I need to add more salt?" A woman asked in a motherly tone of voice from their conversation I could identify that Blaine was in the kitchen.

"I did, it's sitting on my desk in the office. I'll get it delivered to your house tomorrow; I just need to go over a few things. And it tastes fantastic Lena; you know I love your spaghetti." I could hear the smile in his voice; I could tell that he adored this woman.

A spit of jealously was felt but disappeared from my instincts informing me that he saw this woman as a mother figure so I quickly dismissed it settling my wolf.

"Thank you Blaine. You know you'll always welcome in mine and Liam's home, after all you're like a second son to me. Your mother was my best friend and I promised to look after you." A rush of love and hurt ran through my body and I knew it was coming from Blaine.

Since he marked me, we could both feel each other's emotions and are able to commutate through a pack mind link as you automatically join your mates pack the moment you're marked if your mate is an Alpha.

Otherwise, you have to get permission from your mates Alpha in order to change packs.

I began to slowly descend the stairs, being careful to not make a sound knowing that it would notify Blaine of my presence downstairs.

I blocked both my feelings and mind link to Blaine in hopes that he wouldn't be able to tell that I was attempting to escape back to my father's territory.

I wanted to slap myself for not thinking about communicating with my father the moment I trespassed on Dark Apollo's territory but I was too distracted to think about it at the time.

My wolf continued to whimper and cry about not wanting to leave her mate. She loved him the very first moment she saw him and nothing could cause her to lose that love. She dismissed the stories or the truth about his past.

In her eyes, everything in the past stays in the past as everything changed the moment she laid eyes on him.
