Her Brutal Alpha novel Chapter 88

"They probably will be for a few more days. They do need air now and that should help speed up the process."

Blaine stood up and walked towards me, grabbing my hands. We both thanked George before we left to head home. Lena and Liam were looking after our daughter for the day.

The walk back was quiet as it had been for the past few days. Both stuck in our own thoughts. Blaine had told me about the attack and how he killed both Alexander and Mellissa. I was taken back by the brutal way he had killed Mellissa but I accepted it regardless of my stomach clenching at how he took their lives.

Mellissa's death brought me relief like a comfort blanket being wrapped around me. The confirmation and acknowledgement that she could never harm my family further than what she had already done.

I held onto Blaine's hand and paused before we walked into the freehold of our property, standing outside the front door. Blaine stopped, his gaze meeting mine as he looked down at me in concern.

I looked up and tugged his hand. I didn't want to say anything further and I wanted this atmosphere to disappear, I wanted it to go back to normal.

His facial expression showed me his understanding regardless of the silence that surrounded us.

He leaned down, his hand cupping my cheek as he stared into my eyes. I sighed and leaned in letting my head roll to the side as my eyes fluttered shut from his touch.

"When we step into our house I want everything to go back to normal. I just want us. I just want my family." I stated as I opened my eyes to look into Blaine's.

He nodded, leaning down and gently kissed me on the lips in agreement.

We found Lena in the living round snugging close to her mate as they watched television. Our daughter laid in a Moses basket only a few meters away, fast asleep with a look of content on her face.

Blaine carefully lifted her up into his arms as we headed upstairs to relax. Blaine had asked Adrian to watch over the pack for a few days while he rested and stayed close to his family.

He licked his lips and held my eye sight. "Honestly, I haven't decided. She is my Beta's mate after all and he's a brother to me as much as I would want to rip her throat out I couldn't because of that and only that." His voice was tight and his tone told me he was uncomfortable with the conversation.

His green eyes suddenly turned into two black shiny soulless marbles as he stared into mine, his wolf now present. "I am going to interrogate the rogues tomorrow afternoon and if they don't provide me with the information I want, then I'm going to eliminate them and end the problem."

"We're fine dad, we're all okay. I'm just trying to get everything back to normal." I said, as I held the phone flush to my ear. My other hand stroking my daughters face as we occupied Blaine's office.

"I'm glad Ken, you'll all be fine." My father's voice said through the phone making my head automatically nod, my body trying to reassure myself as I acknowledge his words. My mind still distracted, the hurt in my heart still lingering from my reality of no longer being fertile.

I bit the insides of my cheeks and sighed heavily. "We will be," I began wanting to encourage my thoughts to move on yet reassure my family since the past few weeks all I had seemed to cause them was worry. "So, Blaine and I have decided to have a family gathering so we can finally announce our daughter's name!"

My voice was swelling with excitement, not only to finally share the precious name we decided, but to celebrate the birth of my daughter with my family.
