Seeing that his condition was better than she had imagined, Olivia was happy and relieved.

“Mr. King,” Liam called out sweetly.

“It’s been a while, Liam.” King lovingly pinched Liam’s little nose.

Tilting his head askew, Liam studied King with a serious expression. “You’ve become even more handsome than before.”

His serious remark elicited a chuckle from King. He flicked the boy’s forehead. “Always the sweet talker, aren’t you?”

Following that, he straightened up, gazing deeply at Olivia, his voice gentle. “Benjamin told me everything.”

Olivia knew what he was referring to. She shrugged, resigned. “You know, he’s Liam’s father.”

“I understand.” King nodded, “I just wanted to remind you to distance yourself from him if possible. It’s not good for you.”

“I know.” Olivia chuckled lightly. “Don’t worry about me. I know my limits. You should take care of yourself. Don’t let your guard down just because you’ve recovered.”

King responded with a chuckle, “Got it.”

The sincerity and care she showed him served as a source of comfort amidst the battles he had to endure over the years.

He cherished it greatly.

At that moment, Harry arrived. His eyes lit up when he saw Olivia. “Pretty lady, you’re finally back.”

King’s face instantly fell when he heard the way Harry addressed Olivia.

Olivia regarded Harry with a smile and complimented him, “Dr. Anderson, your medical skills are truly impressive! King’s condition has improved so much in such a short time.”

“Of course,” Harry responded, lifting his chin and accepting her praise with a sense of rightful entitlement.

“When will he be fully recovered?” Olivia was eager to know that.

“He still has a long way to go.” Harry glanced at King and continued, “His injuries have never been fully healed, so a full recovery won’t be easy. Plus, I need time to develop a special medicine. This isn’t as simple as it seems.”

Olivia, initially assuming King would recover in no time, was disappointed upon hearing Harry’s explanation. However, she understood that this couldn’t be expedited.

Therefore, without saying anything else, she switched topics and began discussing business matters with King.

King listened to her talking about the new company. After she finished, he smiled and said, “I’m confident leaving it in your hands.”

Olivia chuckled. “Aren’t you afraid that one day I might mess up?“.

“You won’t,” King said earnestly.
