Emma’s reaction was what Emily had expected. Emily quickly reassured the young lady. “Emma, don’t overthink it. Nathan did a DNA test with that child today, and the results showed that the boy isn’t his son. I’m on your side, no matter what. I won’t recognize the child as a Carter.
