Chapter 343 

Lily had never tried such streng Equor before, yet she downed a shocking amount of it 

She fought off the pounding headache and dizzying hage as she made it home. She tossed her down jacket and bag onto the floor before she collapsed onto the couch and dozed 

The cramped space of the couch left her in the same position all night. Her entire body ached from discomfort. 

The cold woke her up at past 5:00 am the next morning. Although the heater was running at full blast, she still shivered from the cold because of the absence of a blanket. She felt the lingering headache and a strange tightness in her chest when she opened her eyes. 

The sharp smell of the alcohol lingered in the air around her. She shifted slightly and rolled off the couch, landing on the hard floor and painfully banging her knee. 

She regained her composure and get to her feet by grabbing the edge of the couch. It took a moment of dazed stillness before she recalled what happened last night. She nummaged through her bag and pulled out her phone before finding several messages from Landon that had been sent last night. 

“Lily, the customer is always right.” 

“Lite is all about money. No one would turn down money! What’s wrong with lowering your head a little?” 

“This project’s commission is worth several years of your salary. That’s a significant fortune for ordinary tolles like us!” 

“Think about it. Come to my office tomorrow!” 

Landon was clearly anxious. It would be enough for him to brag about for the rest of his career if they could secure such a huge villa project for a brick–and–mortar renovation store. It was not even in the same league! 

Lily was moved as she read his words. “Life is all about money. No one would turn down money 

She was going against money if she had conflicts with Xavier. Yet, he was the one who had a problem with her now. 

His goal wasn’t necessarily to make her life difficult. It was to make sure she humbled herself before him and flattered him with no shred of dignity. 

She could stand tall in front of others bet not him. This wasn’t something that could be resolved just by lowering her head a little 

Lily got up and went to the bathroom to take a shower. She had a small brealdast and changed into fresh clothes before heading to the store. 

She arrived earlier than usual and worked on the design dratt for the Devereux family before sending it to Maryanne to show to her family. Landon arrived at 8:00 am. He tapped on her desk as he walked past Lay caught on and got up to follow him to his office “Lily, you’re young and coming from headquarters. I understand that you’re a bit prideful. But can you really lord it over Mr. Fulton? “Here’s the plan. I’ll set the stage, and you apologize to him. Let’s not talk about the renovation project just yet How about that?” 

Lily had expected him to ask her to apologize earn though she was the one who had been forced to drink and suffered the consequences. “Mr. Aslilord, Mr. Fulton isn’t just anyone. He wouldn’t give me the chance even if I wanted to apologize. Let’s just drop it.” 

Landon immediately responded, “Nadia knows Mr. Fulton’s wife. We discussed it yesterday. She can help arrange a meeting if you’re willing to do that”
