Her Hidden Crowns (Suzanne and Austin) novel Chapter 224

Suzanne?

Almost instantly, Jenson understood what was happening in front of him. Anger flared up in Jenson's eyes. He hadn't laid a finger on Suzanne in all these years. How dare this old man attempt it today?

He immediately yelled in a stern voice, "Let her go!"

Being interrupted from his improper deed, Khalil was extremely annoyed. Without turning his head, he shouted impatiently, "If you know what's good for you, get out of here! Don't disturb me!"

However, in the next instant, Jenson swung his fist and directly punched Khalil in the head with a loud bang.

Khalil let go of Suzanne due to the pain. He covered his head and stumbled into a chair.

Suzanne looked at Jenson in surprise. She didn't expect that he would be here.

The moment Khalil looked up and saw Jenson, his face instantly turned pale.

Jenson stared at him fiercely and threatened him in a deep voice, "Try touching even a single hair on her head again, and you'll see what happens!"

He took a step forward and shielded Suzanne behind him.

Suzanne's eyes flickered slightly. Subconsciously, she turned her gaze to look outside and found that many people from the entertainment industry were standing at the door.

They stared at Jenson in disbelief, their expressions a mix of awe and admiration as if they couldn't believe how bold he was.

It was clear this was a gathering of cast members.

Khalil sat slumped in his chair with his head buried in his hands. He was too terrified to move, and his eyes were wide with fear.

He thought, "Damn it! Why is a member of the Lambert family here? How could I have been stupid enough to provoke someone like him?"

Just then, Zeke and the others pushed their way into the room, crowding around Jenson with impressed looks on their faces.

"Jenson, that was incredible!" Zeke said, giving him a thumbs-up. "You took him down with just one punch!"

"No kidding," another chimed in. "Mr. Lambert sure lives up to his reputation. He's talented in both literature and martial arts. What can't he do?"

"It's not every day you see someone in the entertainment industry step up like that," someone else added. "You've got guts, Jenson."

Jenson, however, seemed unfazed by the praise. He turned to Suzanne, his voice calm but concerned. "Suzanne, are you okay?"

The room fell silent for a moment as everyone exchanged curious glances. Wait, did they know each other?

Suzanne's eyes swept across the room, taking in the scene. Her gaze lingered on Khalil, who was still hunched over and groaning in pain.

She wasn't afraid of him—not really. Punching him herself would have been satisfying, but she knew it would have cost her the business deal she'd been working on.
